Okay, I've been focusing on Splatoon 3's Salmon Run because gosh that is so much fun. I've also been getting back at playing Eroge because eroges are awesome and are way better than gacha games and you can play whenever you want.</p><p>I even used Tenso to get the package version of Geminism!</p><p>Also I am trying to beat Shining Resonance (Switch), but the game is pretty bad and it is a pain to play, so I'm getting through really slowly. Yeah, it's bad. There isn't even a map.</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbJ3gs960Emkxp0Yw0CC5SOURYx_EgQmwC5_tBYk8DEK3cDkH9P_cQofakYPuI5eYAT6p9zkin4jGyIy4Y7RRwqwA0OxHVwqYNKWhUy2KJUwgKwVTAUXRvWICG29nC0C_ZK6M0awptwFj61XhtF9oUUaitvZO2MDQAlehfSI_iEpB2du_kA9Unk02IhGnZ/s2268/aaaa.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2268" data-original-width="1958" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbJ3gs960Emkxp0Yw0CC5SOURYx_EgQmwC5_tBYk8DEK3cDkH9P_cQofakYPuI5eYAT6p9zkin4jGyIy4Y7RRwqwA0OxHVwqYNKWhUy2KJUwgKwVTAUXRvWICG29nC0C_ZK6M0awptwFj61XhtF9oUUaitvZO2MDQAlehfSI_iEpB2du_kA9Unk02IhGnZ/w345-h400/aaaa.jpg" width="345" /></a></div><br /><p></p>serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1324112105071670458.post-204663796392423982023-06-06T00:17:00.006-07:002023-06-06T00:17:57.106-07:00Pokemon Crystal: Complete!<p>Phew, there goes one of the games I bought doing the ending of the 3DS EShop (though Pokemon Crystal wasn't discounted)</p><p>It definitely was refreshing to play an older game, but you can really feel the lack of flexibility in the movesets and all. No TM and Move-tutor-only Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt and evolution stones are not generally available until after you beat the Elite Four, so my Magneton was stuck using Thundershock for so long.</p><p>Anyways, continued after the Read More</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCCJ7Tv0kfi49jMu14HstfbH--ezm-v8RWAlnGyxb7lEtJXh0wZGHZcO40BKG875tornVkqXoQCztWmCjJ5Q1tMnRsWbedUmLngXlyqtIKMdyR4FuSefoy9JInYDxmOqbkqqox5R80qpZkXV-zLv5EiPNXGB309dSx29aYrMpz16uLnytYEpNEhtvE9w/s4032/IMG_E3468.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2268" data-original-width="4032" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCCJ7Tv0kfi49jMu14HstfbH--ezm-v8RWAlnGyxb7lEtJXh0wZGHZcO40BKG875tornVkqXoQCztWmCjJ5Q1tMnRsWbedUmLngXlyqtIKMdyR4FuSefoy9JInYDxmOqbkqqox5R80qpZkXV-zLv5EiPNXGB309dSx29aYrMpz16uLnytYEpNEhtvE9w/w640-h360/IMG_E3468.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p></p><span><a name='more'></a></span><p><br /></p><p>So mainly just focused on the story and didn't really catch much Pokemon, though I did catch Suicune as part of the story, and also Snorlax because it was a limited Pokemon.</p><p>20 hours, not bad. Didn't do too much training, as you can see I defeated Red barely at Level 50. Most enemies have lackluster AIs and movesets, so with the power of healing items, it was surprisingly doable. I did find funny that only specific enemies have these huge jumps in levels, but everything else is on the "natural" level you are at without too much grinding.</p><p>Also, BTW, the reason I fought Red at Level 50 was because Growlith learns Flamethrowing at 50, so I leveled him up to 50 and then used the Fire Stone since I needed him against Venasaur.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRnFEEykvVgnS8fV_mJDpXSz_HXxPmJJtbM39KL3lXyPGpXhJ-p2QxNrdb3vlZbRcuZMJ8eP9h6wIpFvVhEicBbAI71ZRp7_JYyKUUAZ9Fe_nTi6o4rFmkwAvXl4IGLsWZx07wJENIyCBFthq6IUvd6sL1w7LOy_cOW1RO13rLLePBWLZ7_wUl5LsUaA/s4032/IMG_E3470.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2268" data-original-width="4032" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRnFEEykvVgnS8fV_mJDpXSz_HXxPmJJtbM39KL3lXyPGpXhJ-p2QxNrdb3vlZbRcuZMJ8eP9h6wIpFvVhEicBbAI71ZRp7_JYyKUUAZ9Fe_nTi6o4rFmkwAvXl4IGLsWZx07wJENIyCBFthq6IUvd6sL1w7LOy_cOW1RO13rLLePBWLZ7_wUl5LsUaA/w640-h360/IMG_E3470.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><p><br /></p><b>Pikachu </b>is easily two-shot by Victreebel's Sludge Bomb (which is physical this gen)<div><b>Espeon </b>(and generally any strong Psychic) requires my using Magneton's Thunder Wave and Flash to keep myself from receiving damage in the first place</div><div><b>Snorlax </b>scared me with its Rest, but Feraligatr's Dynamic Punch confused him and he kept on hurting himself until I defeated him</div><div><b>Venasaur </b>was just flat-out defeated by Arcanine</div><div><b>Charizard </b>required me to spam healing items + Feraligatr's Surf</div><div><b>Blastoise </b>was surprisingly scary, since he has Ice against Grass and no one could resist Water + Ice. But I've completed the story and caught the legendaries and I've seen the substories as well, so I just wanted to give my thoughts on the game.</p><p>Honestly not too sure what type of screenshot to use, since I missed the opportunity to take a picture of the ending credits, so I'm gonna leave it imageless this time.</p><span><a name='more'></a></span><p><br /></p><p>So yeah, it was actually pretty impressive. The story actually made me kinda cry, which the series has definitely not made me do since ever. Yeah, BW didn't.</p><p>There were three stories and one finale, and I think it worked. The characters were generally nice, lots of details into their motions. I personally don't think Open World means Good! But I think they did fine with that too. </p><p>Hmm, it's getting kinda monotonous. So yeah, lots to compliment about the game. So let's talk about the not-as-great stuff.</p><p>First, yes, there are plenty of glitches, but most of them revolve animation during multiplayer sessions, and I think that is forgivable. However, the game just sometimes decides to crash. Throughout my playthrough, the game only crashed once. It was when I evolved a Pokemon near the Pokemon Center, and I think the camera went into the Pokemon Center or something. And then it crashed. Thankfully, there is Auto-Save in this game, so I did not lose that much progress. And in general, auto-save will really help mitigate the losses of the crashing, and if you are doing something like hatching eggs that won't save automatically, you will probably save if something good happens anyways, so yeah.</p><p>Next, the Raids. I think it is because it is supposed to be real-time, but oh gosh, it is stressful when you want to attack and you just freeze in place for a few seconds. Or the enemy Pokemon moves 3 times before you do. And the high-level raids require a lot of preparation and if you do online, just one bad player will make it impossible to win. Ugh. And you almost definitely have to use buffs and debuffs, which honestly reduces the variety of strategies that are viable.</p><p>But I think the biggest problem of this game is the lack of... I don't know, cuteness?</p><p>Look at the any non-major character. Do you see anyone cute? Any Lasses? Girls in swimsuits? No. No. You see these weightlifting monst... I mean, ladies and the closest thing you get are the students, who don't even have a set design. You know how Hex Maniac gets so much fanart? Good luck finding much for SV's trainers. </p><p>The named trainers aren't really that much better, but there are a few designs that target us, so it's not as bad.</p><p>On a related subject, the protagonist needs to be able to wear more stuff. It's clear that you are allowed to wear skirts. So uhh... can I change out of these shorts?</p><p>Also, Larry is great too.</p><p><br /></p><p>All in all, a great game and although there are some bumps, I think the devs did what they could and even added lots of small details like Jigglypuff being blown away in the wind with the time I got.</p><p>That said, I wouldn't say something silly like, "They should have not released the game until it was done!" Making games is a business. Most glitches are harmless. And it's the holiday season. There's a reason Nintendo is a giant, billion-dollar company. You don't get there by not taking good opportunities.</p>serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1324112105071670458.post-79966441693485644212022-12-04T23:10:00.005-08:002022-12-04T23:10:59.754-08:00Currently in Middle of Playing Pokemon Violet!<p>It's been 3 months since my last post, so I just wanted to note I am currently playing the new Pokemon. Haven't finished the story yet, since I also enjoy watching other people play and stuff, but I think I have my final party ready. Golduck just because he is the only Shiny I have found so far.</p><p>Also, man, I got the pantyhose but really wish there were cuter options for the rest. It's obvious from the other characters in the game that not wearing the default school uniform is allowed.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVWeMEHaA4o8Q4qFvUQjP0btXSKZmeNeKODX_C45vk3DmIwJBUMjIfc6Zcm2P9cXlCZRuNjgW-o8Lr43S8OqKyemI1nyzYcHAhGULkmd01eNfcHveP-lUmTSP9XIBkMB9n9snn-gu2sIuBdfTc87jIj_yrrC_W5BGn46y70QhCu4n4FbwGoEp4SBrQIA/s1920/test3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1920" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVWeMEHaA4o8Q4qFvUQjP0btXSKZmeNeKODX_C45vk3DmIwJBUMjIfc6Zcm2P9cXlCZRuNjgW-o8Lr43S8OqKyemI1nyzYcHAhGULkmd01eNfcHveP-lUmTSP9XIBkMB9n9snn-gu2sIuBdfTc87jIj_yrrC_W5BGn46y70QhCu4n4FbwGoEp4SBrQIA/w640-h360/test3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p></p>serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1324112105071670458.post-26817151416810611582022-09-08T22:36:00.000-07:002022-09-08T22:36:00.996-07:00Xenoblade 3: Finished and Thoughts<p>Phew, it took 90 hours (obviously did a lot of exploring and side quests, though not all of them), but I finally finished the story for Xenoblade 3. So yeah, a got a lot to say about what I thought about the game.<br /> </p><p>Before I get started, I just want to warn that I am gonna be fairly negative. But wait, wait. Don't do the whole "Ohhh, you're a hater, so nothing you say counts" crap. You know how much I looked forward to Xenoblade 3, and unlike most of you, I have even played Xenoblade X.</p><p>And of course, plenty of spoilers. Not gonna shy on that.</p><span><a name='more'></a></span><p><br /></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhB7c4IOEklRt9Jk0wPGqY4iyqyWmT1XYAgc4wyd8VeTX8Nrx_ZUNtShlwBA0bi1eEMFCaG1q8zxnXreTu1JoXrAsTq95Jrb8O9HWts0qWTEs-1chKfNe2cksogfSnk3FhFXZs0YMhFN7uNdWJEA_s17jUK9OiGjHfpHiNN7iYK0V7nqozVH8YwnhNVFA/s1920/tempimage.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1920" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhB7c4IOEklRt9Jk0wPGqY4iyqyWmT1XYAgc4wyd8VeTX8Nrx_ZUNtShlwBA0bi1eEMFCaG1q8zxnXreTu1JoXrAsTq95Jrb8O9HWts0qWTEs-1chKfNe2cksogfSnk3FhFXZs0YMhFN7uNdWJEA_s17jUK9OiGjHfpHiNN7iYK0V7nqozVH8YwnhNVFA/w640-h360/tempimage.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p>So let me just say as far as a game goes, I do think it is a good game. Each of the Xenoblade games have their own battle system and everything, so I'm not gonna really go about which one is better. Xenoblade 3's is fun in its own way, so good enough. The graphics were nice, the exploring fun, the robots and transforming gimmicks awesome, etc, etc. You know, the usual good Xenoblade-ness.</p><p>So let's go straight ahead to the problems I had with the game, starting with the most serious.</p><p><br /></p><p>1. Anything other than the main storyline doesn't matter at all.</p><p>The worlds RESET themselves at the end of the game. All of the characters you learn about in side quests are gone. In Xenoblade 1 and 2, the worlds changed, but the characters were left intact. But not this game. As you know, a person's personality is shaped from their experiences throughout life. And since a single world and two worlds fighting each other are completely different, there is no way any of the characters (especially the ones shown to be reset to a young age AKA Noah and co.) will be the same. Also frankly not even sure if some are born. I mean, they don't even show Mio's group, so... Huh...</p><p>2. The enemies in this game almost all just suck</p><p>90% of the enemies are just assholes enjoying being assholes. Another 5% are assholes who have sad pasts, which doesn't justify anything but at least they have more character than the other 90%.</p><p>You think this just goes for the side story Moebius? No, not at all. In fact, they are part of that 90%. And you know X and Y, who seemed to be so important that they are No. 2 and No. 3 and pop up in the final fight? No, no. They go "I won't let you pass" and get killed. That's it. That's how they die. There isn't even a cutscene for their deaths. They just die like any random enemy you encountered.</p><p>And the boss? At first, he goes "The weak don't have options, and I am giving them a good environment", and sure, I see what he is saying. Cool. And then what does he say? That it is fun watching them. And there you go. Ruined. Just another asshole.</p><p>Yes, I understand that there is a reason they are all assholes. That doesn't mean it is good. Almost none of the enemies in this game have a character, and the last boss is a stereotypical "I am the evil in your hearts" crap. Sure, Zanza was an asshole too. But at least he was a character. And it really helped you didn't have 20 other characters before him that were pretty much the same character, by personality and setting.. Also, the protagonist group doesn't actually interact with the final boss until the final battle, so no investment there either.</p><p>3. There honestly wasn't really that many emotional scenes in this game</p><p>The only three that got close were Mio's death, Ethel's death, and the ending. But here's the thing.</p><p>When you think of Mio's death and the ending, what remains in your memory?</p><p>For me, it was the fact N acted like a jerk but he gets Uno Reversed and gets NTRed in front of the entire world, prompting him to go crazy with over-ly (but good) voice acting.</p><p>For me, it was Rex having a 4P like the doujinshi and impregnating three girls at the same time. Also, for some reason, Dromarch, an eternal being, isn't alive and Poppi, a robot that needs maintenance, is. Also, apparently Nia has a child, but Melia just gets a sword. Wow, man. Melia better not learn Nia got some action, or this time she is really gonna try and destroy the world.</p><p>And as for Ethel, that scene itself was honestly a miss for me. Ethel is only fighting against Noah and co. because Colony 4 was taken hostage, and this fact does not change at any time, but she just starts fighting with her boyfriend. And Colony 4 is just fine because... no reason. Also, it would kinda be nice if they helped get rid of the Moebius first before fighting? Or maybe at least not stop Noah from fighting the Moebius? You know? Also, at this point, I know nothing about Cammuravi and couldn't give a crap about him.</p><p>4. The BGM didn't stand out</p><p>The BGM that I think is Xenoblade 3's Counterattack apparently only plays twice in the entire game, and none of that in the latter half of the game. Yeah. How is this supposed to remain in my memory?</p><p>The only BGM that stood out in the game was the Chain Attack BGM, which coincidentally, you hear to your death throughout the entire game.</p><p>Also really liked the use of Xenoblade 2's music in Nia's quest, but that isn't really complimenting Xenoblade 3, right? That's complementing 2's memorable music.</p><p>5. How the heck did Melia and Nia become queens of an entire world in the first place? </p><p>Sure, maybe if they were queens of the worlds after they combined, this could be excused. But they seemed to be head honchos of their world before anything happened. Melia was only queen of one place, and Nia was nothing. But now they rule over the entire world.</p><p>6. Sena</p><p>Let's face it. She got shafted hard.</p><p>All of her main story interaction is combined with either Mio or Lanz (or Shania, I guess), meaning she hardly has any character-specific screentime. You know how Eunie goes through her own death, or Taion with his colony? No. Sena was just some awkward girl that couldn't join any group until Mio came along. So now we have Mio, not Sena.</p><p>"Why are you using a hammer?" Nope, not answered. Sena's whole "in-kya 陰キャ" thing honestly wasn't addressed, but I have questions if the game is aware thats how she plays out in the first place.</p><p>Side Story Sena? Nope, Side Story Shania (or Ghondor).</p><p>Yeah, I know, Side Story Sena has Sena on the sidelines. Even Segiri's story is more Side Story Sena. That's just how little of a character she has. Even her own quest shafts her.</p><p>7. Mio is like "We will meet again"</p><p>No, no you won't. It doesn't make sense, it ruins the ending, and it is even more anti-climatic than Y just reviving people and aging them so you can use Ethel and co. again. Miyabi is cute as can be, but I'm not gonna deny the iffy-ness of just reviving characters like that.</p><p><br /></p><p>So yeah, that's all I can think of right now. Like I said, it wasn't a bad game or anything. I think it was a good game. But the story just didn't really work for me, and I would place 3 below 1 or 2, easily.</p><p>But hey, we still got some DLC left to go, so let's see what is ahead.</p>serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1324112105071670458.post-45056844656776752192022-07-26T01:20:00.002-07:002022-07-26T01:20:27.457-07:00Pokemon Green (JP) Complete!<p> I don't think I really need to say anything about such an old game, but it was fun to play in all of its broken balance glory. For instance, healing a burned Pokemon does not reverse the Atk reduction.</p><p>And one glitch I encountered way too often was the "Accuracy 100% move occasionally misses"</p><p>But overall, a refreshing, fun game. Also the first time in my life I caught Tauros or Kangaskhan in the Safari Zone, so cool there too. Really wanted to do the whole Tauros Hyper Beam spamming that was famous in Gen 1.</p><p>Gameplay time from Start to Beating Elite Four was 17+ hours. Didn't level grind, though the game is pretty easy with even the hardest enemies having bad move sets and stuff. I was 15+ levels lower than the opponent by the time I got to the final Rival battle.</p><p>Also, the Item Box is waaaay too small in this Gen. If you don't use the TMs, both the box and your pouch will be full by end game.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh04-OoeJ8OhMmX7UkFDY3IlM36gHwF8Mj54xbCLWwgJBCvTl37pP-84pl1IIIB07JiCQ1xxW4XXMSIuBxr__LPR5Wv5A5EVBaoIzKWiB10CsdoEUnaoe1WkmB5GtoQWbMMBp7ItTrfUlK73yMsUYJDQrVE8A08GMAglNpcIktj754ALre2sOuvaM1RPw/s4032/IMG_E2466.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2268" data-original-width="4032" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh04-OoeJ8OhMmX7UkFDY3IlM36gHwF8Mj54xbCLWwgJBCvTl37pP-84pl1IIIB07JiCQ1xxW4XXMSIuBxr__LPR5Wv5A5EVBaoIzKWiB10CsdoEUnaoe1WkmB5GtoQWbMMBp7ItTrfUlK73yMsUYJDQrVE8A08GMAglNpcIktj754ALre2sOuvaM1RPw/w640-h360/IMG_E2466.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLVGSe6p9suU7gEsny00zqfiqM37w5idfx5kuzh4a5io-x0VN-EqDMQ5AaJ_wazW6Ceazp2YsVo_KUM3GCIWrL04XI_8UGFQmOifl5qKYPk9WkNphF2TcoUDHzK-nzP8IBz4DAI4qJLsFyD9GBf-xLmFYFwUHQwZ9u5sNMyicz8p0lzPQqmXrzoxrpNg/s4032/IMG_E2465.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2268" data-original-width="4032" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLVGSe6p9suU7gEsny00zqfiqM37w5idfx5kuzh4a5io-x0VN-EqDMQ5AaJ_wazW6Ceazp2YsVo_KUM3GCIWrL04XI_8UGFQmOifl5qKYPk9WkNphF2TcoUDHzK-nzP8IBz4DAI4qJLsFyD9GBf-xLmFYFwUHQwZ9u5sNMyicz8p0lzPQqmXrzoxrpNg/w640-h360/IMG_E2465.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><p><br /></p>serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1324112105071670458.post-27151116243106817662022-07-21T14:12:00.003-07:002022-07-21T14:14:53.955-07:00Monster Hunter Sunbreak: Complete and Thoughts!<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Made it in time for Xenoblade 3.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Complete as in, all quests complete, including Afflicted and Solos</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiP8JSkKXObsJqfgWY7GBjx52n4ZXupzrESMk92c3WREBOkVaivgPOVcsSeBeAKwHNLVaKYsoeYAKK6PKwvkgDhQ8IfSEkS55N-z00m1C5VkmvdJSVBczqRoXT06QaMf21OSIbxgSsXRi8_lk3QDXSFgqsiUn8ddT88EBkrWLn4S4zbpxYlvWQXB1woow/s1920/test3.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1920" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiP8JSkKXObsJqfgWY7GBjx52n4ZXupzrESMk92c3WREBOkVaivgPOVcsSeBeAKwHNLVaKYsoeYAKK6PKwvkgDhQ8IfSEkS55N-z00m1C5VkmvdJSVBczqRoXT06QaMf21OSIbxgSsXRi8_lk3QDXSFgqsiUn8ddT88EBkrWLn4S4zbpxYlvWQXB1woow/w640-h360/test3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><span><a name='more'></a></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This is expected, but it is an improvement from Rise. Most importantly, the story completes without you having to wait a month+ for free DLC. You also have elder dragons, etc</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Thanks to the nerfs and buffs, the balance of the weapons is probably better now, though I personally only really used Charge Blades. Also, since I am used to the Charge Blades from 4 and 4G, I mainly can only do the good old guard and attack stuff. That weird chainsaw axe thing? Nah, can't do it. Having the ability to guard at any time just really makes things easier. There are a surprisingly small amount of attacks in this game that cannot be guarded, and even immensely deadly attacks like Valstrax's giant laser can be blocked with a bit of damage.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">So yeah, who needs the nerfed Longsword?</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Also, Ultra Burst Elemental Phials is so fun to use, because you can just spam that and anything weak against an element will due in a few minutes.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I did use the Dual Blade for Rajang though, since he moves way too much to keep up with the Charge Axe.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The Solo mode where you fight alongside NPCs is really fun, although since it seems the damage they deal to the monsters is nerfed greatly, so you just end up using two NPCs who can use Hunting Horns.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The monsters, music, all of that stuff that are usually good are still good in this game, but I guess there are three shortcomings for this game.<br />1. Afflicted monsters have way too much health. I don't think Frenzy monsters had buffed health, but every changed version after Frenzy just has to include giving them a huge chunk of health. Sure, make them hit harder. But just dragging on the fight longer? Meh.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Also, you can't upgrade most weapon to their final form unless you fight them, multiple times.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">2. They just threw away Rise's special modes. They didn't bother to make them better or anything. They were just like, okay, no more tower defense.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">3. As always, there isn't really any post-game content. Unlike Guild Quests, you can't just spent endless hours trying to get the ultimate weapon and bragging rights. You do all the quests, all the achievements, and that's it. You've gotten everything the game offers.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">True, I haven't gotten all of the achievements yet myself, but let's face it. The only thing time-consuming there is getting lucky enough for a monster really big or really small to appear.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Still, I think it is a much more solid game than Rise. Though improvement is something I expect, and I can't say they actually went above and beyond. They did what they needed to do.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJaXuzI4Hk8yDWJ42SLwBqslSUz3kmRuPRT3XSMcBUIbs_4TXUvF5a-VOMpH-dVsl1wRQs_oVcj19CvWwdArv2kXCYH6ik5FdWJea2O2daH5seUuWvZvQR7fEu8SD7mqS-0yneIpsStU6VMpp2amH89YdJAcGX9JLtm-KKFQvwZb3PiD4WaMvriJimMQ/s1920/1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1920" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJaXuzI4Hk8yDWJ42SLwBqslSUz3kmRuPRT3XSMcBUIbs_4TXUvF5a-VOMpH-dVsl1wRQs_oVcj19CvWwdArv2kXCYH6ik5FdWJea2O2daH5seUuWvZvQR7fEu8SD7mqS-0yneIpsStU6VMpp2amH89YdJAcGX9JLtm-KKFQvwZb3PiD4WaMvriJimMQ/w640-h360/1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><br /> <p></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1324112105071670458.post-59956786494118369022022-07-07T20:25:00.004-07:002022-07-07T20:25:53.418-07:00Catching Up on Games I Bought Since Last Post<p>Been busy with real life, but finally found some time to post the games I have recently played or bought.</p><p>Currently, planning to buy Xenoblade 3, of course, but nothing else so far after it</p><p>1. Shining Resonance - Mostly because it was being sold at a discounted $14. I don't really expect it to be a great game or anything, but at least Tony Taka's designs are great</p><p>2. Master Duel - Of course, for free. Definitely would not pay money to play Yugioh anymore. Way too much power-creep and the solitaring is stupid. Currently using Waifu decks, Traptrix and Sky Strikers, BTW</p><p>3. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak - Just started, of course</p><p>4. Pokemon Green - This is the JP Green, BTW. The English one is actually the JP Blue, so this JP Green is something you can't play localized. Which is why I chose this version. Up until now, the earliest game I've played is Pokemon Yellow, so I wanted to try my hands on the oldest and most buggy, unbalanced version</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPt2Vtnl2CB5jEF4tS61nibjl_8Dxlz-A7aZ9fPs5PR3NwL3rRTO2ZEgnwjtHfl_ZPwcSRdDs9Gdh12f42S_75TIDnJq0qhSnubtE67Xs9VYZi7ymhgfLljf5BGruSKwQxWoxnt9qfBjyt1VLfcPhqHCUHLUq6ZSpkVBsL5LIMeZgzSfr1kFU86LYfYw/s1920/IMG_5124.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="902" data-original-width="1920" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPt2Vtnl2CB5jEF4tS61nibjl_8Dxlz-A7aZ9fPs5PR3NwL3rRTO2ZEgnwjtHfl_ZPwcSRdDs9Gdh12f42S_75TIDnJq0qhSnubtE67Xs9VYZi7ymhgfLljf5BGruSKwQxWoxnt9qfBjyt1VLfcPhqHCUHLUq6ZSpkVBsL5LIMeZgzSfr1kFU86LYfYw/w640-h300/IMG_5124.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3rjJeJm8bogw3z610e6BUI1BXi9fODPlH2kAR3nvsQ6r7syd4b6yVrF_22Dz5N-wPVx0aC1qQc71hNfKTF8l8q_lThZMSBlBI_AmN2CdjmfEgmpYlLpOokAxy4ZV4Lo84ReXoduXh6axw0yHhKGOWeyc7iUxKv9LbQjmExTkFu0vaocjpyAo_3yDWTA/s4032/IMG_5125.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2268" data-original-width="4032" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3rjJeJm8bogw3z610e6BUI1BXi9fODPlH2kAR3nvsQ6r7syd4b6yVrF_22Dz5N-wPVx0aC1qQc71hNfKTF8l8q_lThZMSBlBI_AmN2CdjmfEgmpYlLpOokAxy4ZV4Lo84ReXoduXh6axw0yHhKGOWeyc7iUxKv9LbQjmExTkFu0vaocjpyAo_3yDWTA/w640-h360/IMG_5125.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><p><br /></p>serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1324112105071670458.post-39681950868971108962022-03-26T23:03:00.003-07:002022-03-26T23:03:35.033-07:00Triangle Strategy: Thoughts after First Playthrough<p>So yeah, bought and have just finished my first playthrough, of course on hard mode</p><p>Apparently there is a "True Route" and I haven't seen it, but I think I know where it is going, so I am going to go ahead and write my thoughts about the game. Definitely going to play myself and do the True Route, but I'm going to take my time, so didn't want to put this off for so long.</p><p>And spoilers alert for people who have not played it.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKN0msKhPpkJCiddn3q06On5u13x1PCkac7F22OP1wQksyqGesczJqbM57JRVO5w2OEwaaqKXuM4vGdq0xxTlsVkMnXQnS8HhJoKo1YTbylJwGVTWCdU4RXKuV8_bL30D4p1ueIlkOR8VQGuphZqjLGUQkw6arm_q9zQKv5S3el3jN0qy4ulCbD9dEeg/s4032/End.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKN0msKhPpkJCiddn3q06On5u13x1PCkac7F22OP1wQksyqGesczJqbM57JRVO5w2OEwaaqKXuM4vGdq0xxTlsVkMnXQnS8HhJoKo1YTbylJwGVTWCdU4RXKuV8_bL30D4p1ueIlkOR8VQGuphZqjLGUQkw6arm_q9zQKv5S3el3jN0qy4ulCbD9dEeg/w640-h480/End.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><span><a name='more'></a></span><p><br /></p><p>So my first playthrough took the Benedict route.</p><p>To be honest, there really wasn't a choice. You had to choose between Roland, Frederica, and Benedict, but look at Roland and Frederica.</p><p>I'm not sure if it is because I chose to go to Aesfrost instead of Hyzante, but nothing in the story showed that Hyzante would create a nice world for everyone except Rosellans, so when Roland suddenly went insane and suggested joining them for this reason, it was just so weird.</p><p>And as for Frederica, that is a pretty forced decision, from a story and character-side too. "I can't wait any longer so let's just throw everything we've fought for away!"</p><p>So yeah, had to choose Benedict's route. And hey, Frederica is still at the protagonist's side, so all is well. Roland is doing something crazy somewhere else, but whatever.</p><p>I assume the True Route will fix all of these problems for a better end, but yeah, I guess the three-way splitting to the final ending is kinda iffy. It doesn't make me want to go to any of the routes, other than Benedict's.</p> <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgulZiqefnIlStKo_RJjyz6qKv8HASdY50B0_Kb8z3Hs2UMydoQhEjVWm-qRknJSiJB0KYrtOlNFzke3j_bOs8ZFEsMXewpKQarfoLWyj9ji40EZq7ZRleoyaHGtxPTXiZELUDB0UpMXP-u9zhztslPc81HaMmy9wv-m4Aoimn3vLeJu12ERDj0DtRWfg/s1920/test3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1920" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgulZiqefnIlStKo_RJjyz6qKv8HASdY50B0_Kb8z3Hs2UMydoQhEjVWm-qRknJSiJB0KYrtOlNFzke3j_bOs8ZFEsMXewpKQarfoLWyj9ji40EZq7ZRleoyaHGtxPTXiZELUDB0UpMXP-u9zhztslPc81HaMmy9wv-m4Aoimn3vLeJu12ERDj0DtRWfg/w640-h360/test3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p></p><p><br /></p><p>As for the gameplay and such goes, it was pretty solid.</p><p>Graphic-wise, it was pretty much just that 2DCG or 2D-something that was used for Octopath Traveler, and it looks great as usual. We all know how nice and expressive it looks by now.</p><p>And the TRPG part was pretty challenging. To be honest, if this game didn't allow your characters to die, it would have been way too hard. There were even one map where I won barely with just one character remaining. Really hard. Then again, this is an acceptable difficulty, considering I did choose Hard mode. Also, the enemy bows and mages are really dangerous. Bows because they do heavy damage from afar and without even using skills, and mages just do so much damage in one hit, even considering they have to use TP.</p><p>The overall system itself is a fairly generic tile-based, height-based, speed-based TRPG. We've seen them before. Stella Glow, for instance. Although instead of MP, you have a more Bravely Default, point system for what moves you can use.</p><p>The decision making system, I think is fine. It's kinda like, learn more about the other story characters and their thoughts + letting you make decisions, though depending on your actions, will punish you by making you go a route you don't want.</p><p>Hey, I've played School Days. I'm used to the game sending me to routes I don't intend to go to!</p><p>So yeah, solid game. Square Enix should stick to funding other companies to make games instead of making their own. Else we get abominations like Final Fantasy 15 and Chocobo Racing</p>serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1324112105071670458.post-69443728674031951342022-02-27T17:10:00.001-08:002022-02-27T17:10:03.570-08:00Pokemon Legends: Arceus - Complete + Thoughts!<p>I didn't make a post on when I got the game, but yeah, bought and went and completed it. At the same time, it really adds to the lore, even though I don't really like how everyone seems to be an ancestor of everyone.</p><p>Also, as far as problems this game has, the other one is that the protagonist (and Ingo) are not returned to their original worlds after everything. Come on, that would totally be an awesome reward for the player after catching all of the Pokemon, but nope, we are just left here to mate with someone and then become the ancestor of... myself...?!</p><p>Oh yeah, and for small complaints, you can't sort your Pokemon in your farm, so it is hard to find the Pokemon you want. There is a sort feature, but it really is an extra step you have to take every time you try to find something.</p><p>But other than that, great game. Nice graphics, great music, interesting though difficult change to the speed system, lots of exploring, plenty of stuff to do, etc, etc</p><p>And what do you know, the day after completing the game, they announced a new game/generation!</p><p><br /></p><p>Here is my final team. Being slow makes it common to get hit twice or more, but when you fight multiple Pokemon at the same time or in Trainer Battles that do not allow you to immediately switch out, being fast and low-defense also results in lots of KOs, so it is really hard to get the right balance. I tried to mainly focus on Pokemon with good resistances, with Gardevoir having Fairy, Magnezone having Steel, and Gastrodon being a good staller so I can use a bunch of Max Revives on other Pokemon. Garchomp is as solid overall as ever. Frankly, the starter is the weakest here as far as resistance goes, but hey, starter is starter.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEj5NkeCZ2YX36GOlV1AknT_x_ZRgN0kJbwbZqRKBLq5BqY28tBN_ATtpSYw1YzylMLQeSd5LNOPMRMmFv-DzzWDPGt8d-97tsMj4AK3CZ6KLODOHx5hQRby5_TFQtP7sB3MBGWlZR0zfExuebHvC_hAtaT3GpightiE9lWGnYpmK3Zv5CRI8gEseXym-w=s1920" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1920" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEj5NkeCZ2YX36GOlV1AknT_x_ZRgN0kJbwbZqRKBLq5BqY28tBN_ATtpSYw1YzylMLQeSd5LNOPMRMmFv-DzzWDPGt8d-97tsMj4AK3CZ6KLODOHx5hQRby5_TFQtP7sB3MBGWlZR0zfExuebHvC_hAtaT3GpightiE9lWGnYpmK3Zv5CRI8gEseXym-w=w640-h360" width="640" /></a></div><p></p>serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1324112105071670458.post-78041793571063919342022-01-15T21:11:00.003-08:002022-01-15T21:11:27.897-08:00Megami Tensei V: Done + Thoughts!<p>Finished the Chaos and the true route!</p><p>Technically, I did not do the Law route, but I can tell what will happen if I do, so I think I am good now. Pokemon Arceus coming up too!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEj0tmJwKoiLxHM8xhgjeEXwyNjNiriZkeRab6LG33MEqU4pIB3F-yc8jijqcMlrNhKmToIotqTKFlJWLHAYivV15SgaSfauP-F5vTbm1jPZMJAyLTCMM-_jswEaEAveZYCbutFjmAIwd08BHLVNjNVGMyd3pIDP3v1Z6sKeOtPkDSri1nh6NEGPHkNaWg=s1920" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1920" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEj0tmJwKoiLxHM8xhgjeEXwyNjNiriZkeRab6LG33MEqU4pIB3F-yc8jijqcMlrNhKmToIotqTKFlJWLHAYivV15SgaSfauP-F5vTbm1jPZMJAyLTCMM-_jswEaEAveZYCbutFjmAIwd08BHLVNjNVGMyd3pIDP3v1Z6sKeOtPkDSri1nh6NEGPHkNaWg=w640-h360" width="640" /></a></div><p><br /></p><span><a name='more'></a></span><p><br /></p><p>So overall, I think it is a well-done game, and if you like RPGs, you should play it. But there is one problem, and that is with the story.</p><p>The thing is that around the mid-way point, it just feels really rushed. As a result, the human characters especially felt poorly developed. I think the demons aren't as bad, and their character development is satisfactory, but the humans, like the Law and Chaos Hero, are so... just there. Miyazu has almost no screen time at all, and her entire character development comes from a few sub-quests. On top of that, it kinda just starts at the climax and doesn't build up to it either.</p><p>And Tao? There was a priest in this game that almost plays the same role, basically, so... Pretty unfortunate there too.</p><p>I'd say that up to the end of Lahmu's arc, the story was doing fine. But afterwards, too rushed.</p><p>Also, kinda partially the result of this, but there aren't big differences between each route, because the part where the routes separate is near the end of the game. So no matter which route you go, only the end-game bosses change.</p><p><br /></p><p>However, like I said, that was the only problem. The demon models are great, the fields are vast and lots to explore, Nuwa is beautiful. Music is great.</p><p>I also like that the Law and Chaos of this game is a lot more... social? Like social law and chaos. In previous games, they were extremely... extreme, with angels brainwashing and demons killing everyone because they have power, but the story in this one felt different compared to those.</p><p><br /></p><p>And the true boss of this game, Shiva, is weak against Ice, so raising the ultimate Mermaid just because you want to actually really pays off.</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgz1xaeeESqfh5Ts_uNByrSJU7ztgR1csD64WXaJf9S_wKuA8QVfwpTuLnW_CvbsENaq6jEKUazvH4tSEpNmnxkE4vG6K_ZMu6Kau7EdVTCrvgMOmOOu59phZ4itKVXg85CNwRy5cUqZ_ZTubEgQRMSMOR2MlfzmdWCi_7RAjdV_TiLkRcTgNb_XSvmLg=s1920" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1920" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgz1xaeeESqfh5Ts_uNByrSJU7ztgR1csD64WXaJf9S_wKuA8QVfwpTuLnW_CvbsENaq6jEKUazvH4tSEpNmnxkE4vG6K_ZMu6Kau7EdVTCrvgMOmOOu59phZ4itKVXg85CNwRy5cUqZ_ZTubEgQRMSMOR2MlfzmdWCi_7RAjdV_TiLkRcTgNb_XSvmLg=w640-h360" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I also raised the normal Nuwa along with the snake version, just for the sakes of it and her awesome legs.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgEV7WtPUSP81_NSGmubdFdyKaIdWzdTlp9PmgS3tp1V-te0ZIYj9J0YKtqFXTW0ILYIbAxfLt_f7OVthS_vC_X9xBV3Th4q74fRRjjY2f3KTdGnwO2J-K2sET4Nd_t1InJ7k0uwql-0BqBXFvG8HhQ3CvC4GvjUAs5Mwqv9lErPTBkSLmkUFUn5g6J4A=s1920" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1920" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgEV7WtPUSP81_NSGmubdFdyKaIdWzdTlp9PmgS3tp1V-te0ZIYj9J0YKtqFXTW0ILYIbAxfLt_f7OVthS_vC_X9xBV3Th4q74fRRjjY2f3KTdGnwO2J-K2sET4Nd_t1InJ7k0uwql-0BqBXFvG8HhQ3CvC4GvjUAs5Mwqv9lErPTBkSLmkUFUn5g6J4A=w640-h360" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p>Also, I guess I should kinda talk about the DLC.</p><p>None of them are needed. You get enough money, Miracle, etc you need in-game, and you also get about 10 to 11 Gospels (allows protagonist to instantly level-up) each play-through. In the last dungeon, you can farm to at least Lv80 pretty easily, especially if you use the Genma Magatsuhi, and then use Gospels to level up the rest.</p><p>The Fiends, Cleo, Mephisto, seen them all before in previous games. Haven't played Megami Tensei 3 either. So that just leaves Altemis, but meh. Like her design, but not going to pay extra money for her.</p><p><br /></p><p>So all in all, a great game, though I do see noticeable points where it could have improved.</p>serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1324112105071670458.post-38516475016195032342021-11-12T23:12:00.002-08:002021-11-12T23:12:30.410-08:00And Another New Game! \(o ̄▽ ̄o)/<p>And of course, this one!</p><p>I wanted to buy the JP version, but for some reason, the JP version costs 100$ while the localized version costs 60$. I really would prefer reading the JP text over the English one, but when there is a whopping 40$ difference... I can't ignore that. And there is at least Japanese audio.</p><p>I mean, if there was no JP idea, I definitely would have been forced to buy the JP version, so thank gosh. I still have to deal with the localized names and skills and stuff though, but sure, I'll take that and keep my 40$. Also, the steelbook thing is kinda cool.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEidNKQGxcLJSsgmph2ZkY66ze5-8f6ZVZzRJDwyAYBQz2wjwpZWP7_qz6K12z8mrXcaLkwFHVrYpcZQO_p6CcMZ2DX_uiBnOXyYINKCuwncV5Cpzy-JD7N4W1fS6-y2dT_5tIZxhECSwcjIiYdLevDEh_FPrb9XINiInihDkWb2Y7rtgrnlMc79t1CEmA=s2048" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1770" data-original-width="2048" height="554" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEidNKQGxcLJSsgmph2ZkY66ze5-8f6ZVZzRJDwyAYBQz2wjwpZWP7_qz6K12z8mrXcaLkwFHVrYpcZQO_p6CcMZ2DX_uiBnOXyYINKCuwncV5Cpzy-JD7N4W1fS6-y2dT_5tIZxhECSwcjIiYdLevDEh_FPrb9XINiInihDkWb2Y7rtgrnlMc79t1CEmA=w640-h554" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p></p>serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1324112105071670458.post-18511737333084276452021-11-10T21:48:00.002-08:002021-11-10T21:48:45.777-08:00New Game! ╭( ・ㅂ・)و̑ <p>A bit late to make this post, but got Mario Party Superstars a couple days after it was released!</p><p>Mario Party isn't exactly one of those games that I care about the language, so I just bought it from the nearest store. Although it automatically changes its in-game language if you use a JP account, so pretty much the same anyways.</p><p>I haven't actually bought Mario Party since like, 6 or 7, since they kept on adding weird gimmicks like character specific dices and riding in a car together, but this one does not do any of that, and FINALLY, it has online random matches. No more do you need to find friends or family that want to play video games with you!</p><p>From my experience so far, as long as all players can play to the end without anyone's connection dropping (because fighting against stupid AI is boring) and everyone uses stamps in good manner, it is really fun. 15 turns is surprisingly long, around an hour or a bit more average, but still great as long as everyone is having fun.</p><p>Also, it's Mario Party, so I'm not gonna bother writing a review. Good ol' Mario Party. What I said at the top is pretty much what I want to say.</p><p>Hopefully they will have a few free updates that add new maps?</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEi217bH3fNcq8TuEkzCeTlIVDhSGWVx9WVmdlXST9O18OEXmLFrKRPMgjjUJkNthsA-1lsrBDWclsaz6poC1Ss_hm_jtRBTlu2XFi_mMo9Hf4szHuUEGlyDl4EfeZxdM_0vB0beTs_3MGnQCzP1V_V2teucgcEGmmLmv8D19UIZWB1rojI2v8YfR72MZQ=s2048" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEi217bH3fNcq8TuEkzCeTlIVDhSGWVx9WVmdlXST9O18OEXmLFrKRPMgjjUJkNthsA-1lsrBDWclsaz6poC1Ss_hm_jtRBTlu2XFi_mMo9Hf4szHuUEGlyDl4EfeZxdM_0vB0beTs_3MGnQCzP1V_V2teucgcEGmmLmv8D19UIZWB1rojI2v8YfR72MZQ=w640-h480" width="640" /></a></div><p><br /></p>serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1324112105071670458.post-65232541048811957732021-10-06T21:22:00.003-07:002021-10-06T21:22:49.774-07:00Obligatory I'm Alive Post<p>Since it has been a while</p><p>Haven't really bought any new games, so didn't really have anything to say. So far am looking at two games.</p><p>One is Megami Tensei V, definitely gonna buy this. However, the JP version costs a whopping 100$ for some reason, so for once, I actually may buy the localized version (and play in JP voice of course). Too bad you can't just change the language for the text too, I think.</p><p>The other one is Mario Party Superstars, since you can play online. If you can play with randoms, then I think it can actually be pretty fun to play once in a while, like Mario Kart and such. And this is the normal Mario Party too, not the ones that added weird gimmicks to the gameplay like character-specific dices and riding a car together and all that crap.</p>serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1324112105071670458.post-63437306563338521622021-06-21T23:29:00.005-07:002021-06-22T09:51:27.208-07:00Rune Factory 5: Story Complete + Review<p>Okay, I've finished the main story now. Post-game includes one dungeon and you just being a farmer like usual, but I'm pretty sure the usual stuff are just that, so I don't think I really need to do that to write my thoughts on the game. </p><p><br /></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PNzkXLI5BPg/YNF3QdrRqkI/AAAAAAAAFJI/7B5NVyMFUvodFQ99u61asoobgWMh5ItwACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_1272.JPG"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PNzkXLI5BPg/YNF3QdrRqkI/AAAAAAAAFJI/7B5NVyMFUvodFQ99u61asoobgWMh5ItwACLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h480/IMG_1272.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p></p><span><a name='more'></a></span><p><br /></p><p style="text-align: left;">Okay, let me just be blunt. <br />It is not a well-made game. There are many problems with it, from glitches to just poor game design. However, if you are a fan of Rune Factory, this does have the minimum that makes it Rune Factory, with all new waifus. But yeah, if you are not a fan of this game and or not sure if you should get it, I honestly cannot suggest this game.</p><p style="text-align: left;">So... let's get down to the problems.</p><p style="text-align: left;"><b>Bugs/Glitches</b></p><p style="text-align: left;">They are everywhere. I will list some below, some that I have encountered myself and others I heard/saw from others.</p><p style="text-align: left;"></p><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>The characters will speak special one-time lines depending on your story progress. Except there are times they will say it, then the next day, they will still say it. Yeah, imagine a character saying a line about meeting someone the first time multiple times.</li><li>When you bring a character along with you, their map icon actually appears elsewhere sometimes</li><li>You are moving among your crops, bringing monsters with you... and then the monster steps on your tree and the tree disappears (and you know how long it takes to grow a tree)</li><li>Getting stuck on the loading screen</li><li>Priscilla's graphics gets messed up, and she gets stuck holding her baby. Even if the baby has grown up. So when she attacks, she attacks holding the baby. And that weird stuff.</li><li>When you plow certain items to heal your farm, despite plowing 9 at a time, it only heals for 1 time</li><li>Lucy disappears</li><li>Your shipping box can overflow, meaning if you have too much value in it, you start losing instead of gaining stuff</li><li>You shipped high-level crop, but the store's seeds/products aren't updated to that level</li><li>You knock an enemy into the wall, and they fall off the face of the Earth. Except since you didn't kill it and can no longer kill it, you are stuck because the room doesn't let you out until you have killed all enemies.</li></ul><div>And so on.</div><div>The game has also crashed twice, but Monster Hunter Rise crashed twice and while it has not happened to me, I have seen Xenoblade 2 crash as well, so I won't hold the crashing against this game specifically. But yes, this game has crashed a couple of times.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Bad Game Design</b></div><div><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>Stuttering... or FPS drop, whatever. I'm just going with stuttering for now. So yeah, lots and lots of this. The game will stutter for a few seconds when you load the game. It will also stutter for like half-a-second when you enter and exit houses. And oh bow, festivals. Graffiti flies in the air during festival days. So you betcha. Even more stuttering than usual on those days.</li><ul><li>It's not even like the graphics are good, so very poor optimization.</li></ul><li>Loading... The game loads every time you enter and exit houses. Although the load itself is quite short, a second, perhaps. But you do realize that you enter and exit houses a LOT of times, CONSTANTLY. So it isn't ignorable.</li><li>If a shop employee goes out for a walk, there is no way to buy stuff from them. Even if you bring them back with you. This is especially problematic for stuff like buying fish or flowers where only one character sells them. Oh yeah, there is also only one inns-keeper. And yes, what this means is that on festival days, you just flat out can't do anything in the town, since everyone goes to the festival. These days of celebration are so inconvenient for the player.</li><li>There are character events for both the waifus and the guys, but you can't really avoid them. Even if you would want to only see the waifus' events, you can't. These events occur when you go to a certain location, but some occur in places like your room making them absolutely unavoidable. And if two events occur in the same place, you can't choose. You have to finish the events in the order they appear. Also if you are in the middle of a character's event, you can't even confess your love successfully.</li><li>Other than your main farm beside your house, you get a farm onto of several dragons. Now, you would think that there would be some kind of advantage of each dragon, right? Like one dragon would be always summer and one would be always Winter? No. There is no difference at all. They are just additional land.</li><li>There seems to be a lot of text copied from previous games, but despite all the copying, some information about stuff like seeds and how long they take are no longer in the description.</li><li>Characters don't even move their mouths when they speak in cut-scenes. Yeah. </li><li>There is absolutely no pattern in which lines are voiced and which are not. Sometimes a line will be fully voiced, sometimes partly voiced, and sometimes just not voiced. A conversation might have some lines voiced, and some lines not voiced, and this is not necessarily the beginning is voiced or something like that. Sometimes just a line in the middle of a conversation gets voiced. I don't know which lines I should wait for the voice to finish because of this.</li></ul><div><b>Story</b></div></div><div>It just isn't good. Not enough development for the villain side. Poor presentation in general.</div><div>I mean, if you are gonna show a dramatic scene where we learn why the protagonist lost his memory or the true villain, it'd be nice if you changed the BGM? You know, instead of continuing with the very peaceful town BGM?</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Characters</b></div><div><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>Priscilla - The normal, main heroine girl</li><li>Scarlett - The overly-serious girl</li><li>Lucy - Tom-boy?</li><li>Fuka - Dark-skinned, animal girl</li><li>Beatrice - Ojou-sama who doesn't know much about the normal world</li><li>Ludmila - Masochistic succubus</li></ul><div>...Guess who are popular?</div></div><div>Yup. Ludmila. 2nd place is Beatrice. Then Lucy and Priscilla. And last are Scalett and Fuka.</div><div><br /></div><div>Why is Fuka so unpopular? Because she doesn't talk in the human language. The characters understand her because they can if they listen to the heart of the cards, but she just goes "Bark bark" or whatever sound you want to translate it to. On top of that, her lines go "Bark bark (How are you doing)" where the bark and the actual meaning are both in her lines. And when her line is voiced, both parts are voiced, which is pretty icky on the tempo.</div><div>And that's a shame. Dark-skin, loli, animal girl. She's perfect! ...On the outside.</div><div><br /></div><div>Scalett, the overly-serious girl is just not a popular archetype.</div><div><br /></div><div>Lucy and Priscilla are normal.</div><div><br /></div><div>I don't really know why Beatrice is popular, maybe just because all of the other girls are too boring outside Ludmila.</div><div><br /></div><div>So yeah, pretty much only Ludmila has an interesting, weird personality that you would want to learn more about. So naturally she is the most popular. I was aiming for her even before the game came out, BTW.</div><div>Also, she only appears starting mid-game, so yeah... And oh, she's the only person that runs the flower shop, so you can't buy fertilizer or that sort until you reach that part of the game.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>I don't care about the guys, so I'm not going to say anything about them.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><b>Conclusion</b></div><div>In conclusion, there are many problems with the game. I was really looking forward to the game, so I am disappointed that it was so poorly made. However, if you are a Rune Factory fan itching for new waifu, it does qualify as a Rune Factory game, and you can probably still enjoy it.</div><div><br /></div><div>hey seem to be trying to release weekly updates that fix some problems in the game, or make changes that increase the performance of the game, or fix some game design problems. For instance, Murakumo spends more time in his job location, so you can actually use the inn when the inn is supposed to be open. They also kinda improved the performance of the game by hiding certain objects when not needed.</div><div><br /></div><div>So a big question is what version of the game will be released when the localized version comes out.</div><div><br /></div><div>Also, while it is a good thing they are releasing patches of the game instead of just running away (which would probably signal the doom of the series itself), it doesn't change the fact they did release the game full of glitches and just overall a bad state, and that is quite a disappointment.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>BTW, I do think that having unique 3D graphics for all of the food and weapons and stuff is pretty cool though, so good job on that.</div><p></p>serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1324112105071670458.post-16867541112623797922021-05-19T23:15:00.003-07:002021-05-19T23:16:05.363-07:00New Game! But... Noticeable Problems... (Rune Factory 5)<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QC3uTSmtmOs/YKX9c3_VN6I/AAAAAAAAFGE/WMsUEzPUS705SDiLYgEyM8OwiRTABXIgACLcBGAsYHQ/s1920/test.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1920" height="360" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QC3uTSmtmOs/YKX9c3_VN6I/AAAAAAAAFGE/WMsUEzPUS705SDiLYgEyM8OwiRTABXIgACLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h360/test.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />So of course, yeah. I've played 3 and 4, and I liked them. Galge + Farming. Nice.<p></p><p>However, I'm 2 hours into the game and it has a couple of major problems, that I hope they address really quickly.</p><p>The big problem here is that I think they made the game 3D, but didn't really have the technology to do so well. The game stutters, a lot. Going into a house and then leaving always causes the game to stutter a moment in order to load the map.</p><p>And I don't know if the stuttering is the cause, but during conversations, the text appears slightly quicker than the character portrait. And this happens in every conversation, so it isn't exactly ignorable.</p><p>I don't think the base system has any problems, but at least fix the stuttering. I don't know if the conversation character portrait problem is on purpose or not, but the stuttering definitely isn't intentional.</p><p>Also the OP is like Jojo or Bleach. Weird.</p>serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1324112105071670458.post-77770981021997492572021-04-19T21:09:00.001-07:002021-04-19T21:09:36.377-07:00Smash Ultimate - Pyra in Smash, Wooh!<p> Since I'm here writing stuff, I'm gonna go ahead and say this, one month+ too late.</p><p>You know, it honestly surprises me. Monolith Soft is great at making games, and helps Nintendo with stuff like Zelda. Yet Nintendo is here going, "Dude Sakurai, please advertise Fire Emblem!". Intelligent Systems can't even make their own games now. Yet Nintendo goes out of its way to help Intelligent Systems stay afloat. Just buy away the IP and disband that lump of junk.</p><p>Finally, Monolith Soft got some justice. I would have been fine with Rex, using Pyra and Mythra, but I'm even better with just solo Pyra and Mythra. The only problem is that in JP, Pyra calls Mythra "Hikari", but in the game, she goes "Hikari-chan". So yeah, Sakurai, please fix this.</p><p>This is my Pyra/Mythra Global Smash Power, BTW. The image is one month old and Global Smash Power naturally grows as time passes, so mine's is probably more now though. Great characters, fun to play.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6K47RipwE_M/YH5TYdog01I/AAAAAAAAFFk/1GxwAeYmOM44s8pnXzC5MJXFkpTWabBMwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1920/test.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1920" height="360" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6K47RipwE_M/YH5TYdog01I/AAAAAAAAFFk/1GxwAeYmOM44s8pnXzC5MJXFkpTWabBMwCLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h360/test.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1324112105071670458.post-92231015907846828812021-04-19T20:17:00.008-07:002021-04-19T20:39:09.160-07:00Monster Hunter Rise: Thoughts and Impressions<p>Sorry about not posting for so long. I originally planned to buy Bravely Default 2, and that would have got me to write something about it, but I ended up kinda going "Meh" towards it, and ended up not buying it. Pyra came out for Smash and that was awesome and literally the only Smash DLC I've ever bought and I got busy playing that. And then Monster Hunter came out.</p><p>Still planning to get Rune Factory 5. Not sure about Pokemon Snap. And that's all for now, really. Huh, kinda lonely. Where is Megami Tensei 5?! Etrian Odyssey?! You give us these teasers and no follow-up.</p><p>Also hopefully, as I am still playing Monster Hunter, I will finish the last two routes of Nukitashi before the localized version comes out, so I can say a few words. Yeah, this is an R18 visual novel game, so most people reading this probably doesn't care about that type of stuff.</p><p><br /></p><p>While Monster Hunter isn't one of those games that has an "end", I have now played over 150 hours (actually 166, it seems), so I definitely think I can say something about it.</p><p>Also, I don't really think there are any spoilers. Not that I think Monster Hunter stories really have a story that could be ruined with spoilers, outside of maybe spinoff games.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EWfy7DqN0w8/YH5EUAQJkvI/AAAAAAAAFFU/2x1J1ga-M6AyqbrTdutdG128-fOK0Q-ZgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1920/MH1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1920" height="360" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EWfy7DqN0w8/YH5EUAQJkvI/AAAAAAAAFFU/2x1J1ga-M6AyqbrTdutdG128-fOK0Q-ZgCLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h360/MH1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><span><a name='more'></a></span><div><br /></div><div>So, I'm just gonna go ahead to what I think is wrong about the game.</div><div>Because what is right about the game is really just the usual Monster Hunter stuff. I haven't played World, but I think the new game engine is fine enough. I'm sure there are strong weapons and weak weapons, but all of these are the usual Monster Hunter stuff.</div><div><br /></div><div>So yeah, the biggest problem with this game is that there just isn't that much content. I'm the type that goes around making different equipment sets for specific monsters, so I can kinda add up some more play time, but when the story LITERALLY ends with "Oh, something will happen in the future and let's not let our guard down" with no real closure, you know there is a problem.</div><div><br /></div><div>Apparently in World, they updated the game, which they also plan to do with Rise, but let's face it. That just means they sold an incomplete game and decided to fill it up more later. What the game has is good in quality, though. Just that it lacks the quantity.</div><div>Also, there is like two elder dragons in the entire game, who are both bosses, with one not really even a normal quest.</div><div><br /></div><div>It just seems from now on, Capcom is gonna just go with this format. All I can hope is that none of these updates cost money. Who knows, maybe if they release the G-rank for free, then that would actually kinda make this format worthwhile, since we all had to buy a new game every time they released a +G-rank version of a game.</div><div><br /></div><div>Also, this is a game balance problem that can't be ignored, but Sharpness is waaay too hard to use. There are too little ways to get the skill, maybe weapons with default white or long green way much too viable. Heck, even Shield and Sword's most viable pick is the non-element Nargacuga weapon.</div><div>It is a lonely game when almost every weapon just throws away elemental damage.</div><div><br /></div><div>Finally, the achievements you can do in-game are so juvenile. Get S-rank on all Arena quests? Get all smallest and biggest of every monster? No.</div><div>In Rize, you collect 1000 gold bugs. You talk to all NPC.</div><div>What's funny is that there is an achievement for doing all low-rank quests... and NONE for high-rank quests! That is really, really not even hard!</div><div><br /></div><div>Apparently there will be some more information on the update in the coming days, so let's hope for the best and in the meantime, I will... umm... just randomly hunt stuff.</div><div><br /></div><div>Anyways, here is my weapon usage chart to end this post. And yes, Longswords are OP.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-V9-Xma8JxGk/YH5EUHAOSNI/AAAAAAAAFFY/IKOyCoFqWE4wMF9W66ZN7D38bdZlR-F-ACLcBGAsYHQ/s1920/MH2.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1920" height="360" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-V9-Xma8JxGk/YH5EUHAOSNI/AAAAAAAAFFY/IKOyCoFqWE4wMF9W66ZN7D38bdZlR-F-ACLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h360/MH2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1324112105071670458.post-5296359871793168682021-01-18T22:13:00.001-08:002021-01-18T22:13:19.020-08:00Update (January 2021)<p> Since I haven't made any posts recently, just wanted to give a quick update.</p><p>I haven't really bought any new games yet. I've been mostly playing Langrisser Reincarnation, replaying Monster Hunter 4G, and also started Nukitashi (Eroge). I've already beaten the first two and haven't finished Nukitashi, so I haven't really been able to say anything in a post. </p><p>I plan to buy Bravely Default 2, Rune Factory 5, and of course Monster Hunter Rise, but nothing interested me in December or January.</p><p><br /></p><p>You also got Sephiroth in Smash Bros, but I've never cared about Final Fantasy, so whatever, you know. Still waiting for Xenoblade 2's character, but for some reason, although Nintendo is willing to baby Intelligent Systems, who can't even make their own games anymore, they aren't willing to give any favor to the company that literally helps them make all kinds of games like Zelda. *shrug*</p>serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1324112105071670458.post-28071355018192003282020-11-27T00:49:00.001-08:002020-11-27T00:49:09.840-08:00Langrisser Reincarnation: One Route Complete + Thoughts/Review<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Okay, I've completed one route in the game, the Light one. I know there are more routes and I do plan to play them, but I think I have enough information to write my thoughts about the game.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Yes, yes, I know. We all already know that this is a bad game. But let me just say a few things.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t_eMfV4EU34/X8CxnxEjwQI/AAAAAAAAFCA/ECR3YG51UYkHGaHHcmBLoH2TnpPC9pXlwCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_0847.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t_eMfV4EU34/X8CxnxEjwQI/AAAAAAAAFCA/ECR3YG51UYkHGaHHcmBLoH2TnpPC9pXlwCLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h480/IMG_0847.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br /> <p></p><span><a name='more'></a></span><p><br /></p><p>To be honest, if you play the game for the characters, it actually isn't THAT bad of a game. The SRPG portion of the game is extremely boring, with very obvious problems I will mention later, but it is fairly stress-free. Of course, I am playing the patched 1.01 or something version which fixes numerous issues that did cause stress, so if you don't have internet or something, you might have a different experience.</p><p><br /></p><div style="text-align: left;">Okay, <br /><b>So about the SPRG part.</b><b><br /></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">The overall gameplay is like any Langrisser game, where each character can have soldiers that can battle and gain experience for your character. And the rest is normal turn-based SRPG stuff, except the characters all have a movement priority and instead of going "All your characters, then all of theirs", the characters take turn moving depending on their movement priority. Some games, like those ones with heights, do use this system though.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">However, the enemy AI in this game is extremely stupid. You see, they will move towards you when you enter their range or if they are just set to charge, but usually, unless they have a clear advantage towards you, they just stop there. They won't attack. Now, maybe they would do 0 damage anyways, but I can't really tell. Anyways, they just move next to you and end their turn. You don't even have to worry about having your HP slowly chipped away by multiple attacks. They just wait for you to kill them.</div><div style="text-align: left;">The only exclusion to this rule is Range attacking Melee and vice-versa. In these cases, they will always attack... And probably still do 0 damage.</div><div style="text-align: left;">Also, mages will cast spells to do a bit of damage. But since no other unit will attack you after you get hurt by the spell, it still really isn't dangerous, just annoying.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Also, one other problem about the SRPG is this... Look at this image. Yeah, you can't tell who are allies and who are enemies on this map. Every single character is the same red color. It's quite useless.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Jxa8Nv3deMU/X8C0shJcxKI/AAAAAAAAFCc/NLqPRRneTKEJ5YwKNh5ryTjbt8N_P7-jACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_0845.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Jxa8Nv3deMU/X8C0shJcxKI/AAAAAAAAFCc/NLqPRRneTKEJ5YwKNh5ryTjbt8N_P7-jACLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h480/IMG_0845.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;">Furthermore, you cannot suspend the game, meaning if something pops up while trying to clear maps that can sometimes take around an hour, you HAVE to use the 3DS sleep feature. Which actually still uses a little bit of battery. Imagine playing a little bit before sleeping and then having to put it to sleep because you can't suspend it. Yeah, sleep mode might only drain a little bit of power, but it'll be asleep the entire night slowly sipping away at that power...</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">The next thing isn't really as much of an issue, but something noticeable is that there is very little reason to use anything other than the basic soldier. Even after you Class Change and can use stronger ones, there is no point. Why? Because in this game, you will gain experience based off of who defeats the enemy. If your character defeats the enemy, you won't get much points. However, if your basic soldier defeats them, you will get A LOT. As a result, the strategy to this game is to try your hardest not to kill the enemy commander until after you have killed their soldiers, and only your soldiers will fight. Your commander units will NEVER fight a single battle, unless you want to waste a whole lot of EXP. There are literally times where defeating the enemy with your commander gets you like 10 EXP while having a basic soldier defeat them gets you 100 EXP.</div><div style="text-align: left;">You might think, can you defeat the enemy with such a weak soldier?</div><div style="text-align: left;">In this game, very so. You see, each character has a command stat which is how much boost a soldier gets while the soldier is in command range. And this stat can go really high. As you can see in this image, this soldier might only have a basic 6 ATK, 2 DEF, but while in the command range, it becomes a whopping 69 ATK, 65 DEF. And yes, all soldiers use the portrait of their commander character.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4QvT5SzL2i8/X8C2mBZ5WWI/AAAAAAAAFCs/tkFiOE88lkooeowfHIvtocZ0DJ7Ah8aAQCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_0842.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4QvT5SzL2i8/X8C2mBZ5WWI/AAAAAAAAFCs/tkFiOE88lkooeowfHIvtocZ0DJ7Ah8aAQCLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h480/IMG_0842.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div>Also, in this game, mages and priests all are 1-range characters. Also, as you can see, it isn't like they have low defense or anything, so you can use them as shields. And, as pointed out above, the enemy will not attack unless they have a big advantage, so you can just randomly move them forward and they will not get hurt.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jrAUnqWmmYE/X8C3xaUYzuI/AAAAAAAAFC8/K-BEpm0yWf0cuwxuxmxh5FEzFsqSdzBOwCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_0843.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jrAUnqWmmYE/X8C3xaUYzuI/AAAAAAAAFC8/K-BEpm0yWf0cuwxuxmxh5FEzFsqSdzBOwCLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h480/IMG_0843.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div>So yeah, I think you can tell the SRPG part of the game is really boring. And since you will be moving so many characters thanks to the soldier system, it will also be long. I'd suggest maybe playing a visual novel while going through a map.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><b>Between battles, you will be at camp and do camp stuff.</b> Between each battle, you can talk to three characters, in which each conversation will have three options and the dialogue changes depending on which. And if you choose the right one, the affection of the character increases by a larger amount. So I'd say this is the best part of the game, and the only reason you would really play it.</div><div>After you get to a certain part of the game, you will be allowed to confess to a character. If they have enough affection, they will accept, giving you a CG, which ranges from blushing to what looks like you just had sex since they are naked (and covered by a blanket) in bed. </div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Fzq55yaY760/X8C54EX930I/AAAAAAAAFDI/mOXdcQOvnQIf3gtyH7jEFOyB4oR9oZ4awCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/Capture.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Fzq55yaY760/X8C54EX930I/AAAAAAAAFDI/mOXdcQOvnQIf3gtyH7jEFOyB4oR9oZ4awCLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h480/Capture.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div><div>Also, you can confess to males too. </div><div>But hey, this is a bad game. And just like one, this confession part happens after a battle, before you can save. That's right, let's say you focus on three characters (since you can talk three times per after-battle). That means you will be forced to play through a map three times to confess to the three characters and get their CG. Also, you have to save after seeing the CG to get it stored in the album.</div><div><br /></div><div>Other than that, you have basic stuff like equipping and buying equipment and setting up soldiers for characters and positioning your character for the next map.</div><div>But, this is a bad game.</div><div><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>You can't see what each character currently is equipped with.</li><li>You can't unequip a character unless you equip them with something else</li><li>You can't see the next map (no map preview)</li><li>This game does not remember what characters you last used, so you will always have to switch out characters before each map</li><li>The shop owner and guild owner can be talked too, but their dialogue does not change throughout the entire game and is completely pointless to talk to</li></ul><div><br /></div></div><div>The <b>battle graphics</b> is extremely bad, but I'm sure you already know this. It's like... a few... super-mini-chibis moving around... I mean, just search it up. It's flabbergasting.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Story </b>is also pretty plain, run-of-the-mill. There are also times where I feel the story just makes jumps and I'm left kinda confused how we got here.</div><div>Also, Langrisser is literally just randomly found at the beginning of the game... which is... ugh... stupid? They actually made fun of this in Langrisser Mobile.</div><div><br /></div><div>On the other hand, the BGM is really good. Play Langrisser Mobile? A good number of the BGM you hear in that game came from Reincarnation.</div><div><br /></div><div>...And I think that should be it?</div><div>So basically, it is a generally pretty poorly-made game. However, it does the minimum needed to be playable, so it's... just bad, but not ugh-throw-on-floor-ish.</div><div>And you can enjoy the characters, so there is something to play for.</div><div><br /></div><div>To note, but unless you talk to the character between battles, a lot of the characters do not stand out in the story and thus are really weak and do not leave an impression. So you have to talk to the characters you are interested in outside of battle.</div><div><br /></div><div>Overall, it is a pretty bad game, but as a result, you can probably get it cheaply and it would be worth it then. Heck, mines came with the soundtrack while being cheap, so it totally was worth it. Just imagine, buying a soundtrack and it came with an extra game.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>Finally, let me say one more thing.</div><div>A lot of the female characters have weird character designs. Like, a lot of them look like they aren't wearing pants and just showing off their underwear.</div><div>Now, I know a lot of original Langrisser characters show skin too, but these characters are wearing bikini armor or leotards, which are clothing. So it doesn't feel weird.</div><div>But Reincarnation? They just look like pantsu.</div>serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1324112105071670458.post-38716778310663319212020-10-18T23:58:00.000-07:002020-10-18T23:58:04.959-07:00Azur Lane: Crosswave - Thoughts/Review<p>To note: I do play the smartphone game.</p><p>I have beaten all of the stories, tried all of the modes, and have completed all of the side-battles.</p><p>I've not completely, completely finished the game as in, 100%, but the only thing left is to listen to all of the short stories, so I think I can give my impressions of the game now.<br /></p><p>Also, to explain the game, I'll be using the main image below to go over each mode.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MsEJ6tI8pIo/X40xKQdAjbI/AAAAAAAAFBU/iNkXKhoCF40CrmfdFYYqPnggIjQl4nGBQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1920/Capture.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1920" height="360" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MsEJ6tI8pIo/X40xKQdAjbI/AAAAAAAAFBU/iNkXKhoCF40CrmfdFYYqPnggIjQl4nGBQCLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h360/Capture.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p></p><span><a name='more'></a></span><p><br /></p><div style="text-align: left;">I will start off with a short summary of my impressions.<br />If you are a fan of the game, then you will probably enjoy it enough to make the purchase worthwhile.<br />If you are not a fan of the game... Then... I would not suggest spending a full 50+$ on this.</div><div style="text-align: left;">Then again, this is a Compile Hearts game. Like I always say, they know their audience but are not the best in technology. As such, they never make amazing games, but they make games that satisfy their target audience.</div><div style="text-align: left;">And this game's audience is Azur Lane fans.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b>Modes:</b></div><div style="text-align: left;">Okay, so let's start from the left and go to the right from this image, and I will give my impressions if there are any.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><i>Dock</i></b></div><div style="text-align: left;">Just that. I didn't really use it for much. You get to look at your inventory. There aren't tech boxes or anything, as tech boxes are treasure spots in Story Mode, so you don't do anything like that here.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><i>Shop</i></b></div><div style="text-align: left;">There are two shops, Shiranui's and Akashi's.</div><div style="text-align: left;">Shiranui's is the basic shop... That you just will never use.</div><div style="text-align: left;">Akashi's is where you take your blueprints and create equipment. She will sometimes have special limited deals where you can pay money to buy equipment directly. You also get every other item and trade money-items for money here. Basically, this is where everything about items is done.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><i>Dock</i></b></div><div style="text-align: left;">Your characters. You change equipment, power-up your equipment, increase your max level, marry.</div><div style="text-align: left;">Unlike the smartphone game, increasing your max level and marrying requires <b>character-specific</b> versions that you can gather material for by grinding on specific battles/maps and traded to Akashi.</div><div style="text-align: left;">This is also the place you go to unlock new characters through a special currency outside of money. (It's that green thing on the top-right of the image).</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">BTW, there is no "Commander" character in this game, so marriage is kinda weird, because they seem to be marrying to the commander, who doesn't really show up in Story-mode or anything.</div><div style="text-align: left;">I guess there is a Commander anywhere except Story-mode? *shrug*</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><b><i>Extreme Battle<br /></i></b>Just battles. Unlike Story-mode, there is no conversation. It is just a whole bunch of battles you can do, up to around 110 challenges.<br />You need to use this mode to grind for stuff like tech books and the stuff you trade in for marriage rings.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><b><i>Story</i></b></div><div style="text-align: left;">Okay, you are probably wondering how the story in this game is.</div><div style="text-align: left;">Let's say the content of Story-mode is like one event in the smartphone game. So like, Shinano's event. Or Divergent Chessboard.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><b>One</b> of those. So yeah, it's not exactly... impressive for a game that is pretty expensive.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Also, if you buy the DLC (the Switch version comes with the first two for free), you can play additional stories.</div><div style="text-align: left;">I guess you can say the main story is equal to one event in the smartphone game, and each DLC story is a mini-event in the smartphone game.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><i>Photo</i></b></div><div style="text-align: left;">You get to line-up a max of 6 characters and make them do poses, change their expressions, and redden their cheeks.</div><div style="text-align: left;">You get the idea.</div><div style="text-align: left;">Also, if you are playing the PS4 version, it's censored and you can't really move the camera down to see the characters' pantsu. Good ol' Sony.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><i>Episode</i></b></div><div style="text-align: left;">Basically, short-stories. Just dialogue.</div><div style="text-align: left;">There are quite a number though, over 50.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><i>Gallary</i></b></div><div style="text-align: left;">CGs, Soundroom, Player Stats (like how long you've played, etc. etc.), that stuff.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><i>Options</i></b></div><div style="text-align: left;">Volume, controls, the usual.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b>Now</b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b>Now</b>, from what I have said, I give off this impression that this game kinda... sucks.</div><div style="text-align: left;">But wait for a moment.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Here is what is good in this game, and why I said that fans may enjoy it.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">One, it does a good job of translating the battle system of the smartphone game to 3D. You get waves, you can shoot torpedoes, guns, barrages. AAs fire automatically. You get self-destruction boats.</div><div style="text-align: left;">You get the idea.</div><div style="text-align: left;">The only complaint I really have with this is that there aren't that many variety between the characters. Especially the barrages, which all really look similar. Maybe some difference, but in the end, it's just a single spray of bullets and that's it. Some may fly in a special... ish way... maybe?</div><div style="text-align: left;">Like, Nagato is definitely NOT firing an arrow with spikes around it like the smartphone game.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Also, it is FULLY voiced. Everything, pretty much. Not just the story, but all 50+, 60+ episodes/short scripts are fully-voiced. So fans of the game can definitely enjoy a lot of voiced dialogue of their favorite characters. The game's voices are all one-liners. This game, actual full dialogue between characters.</div><div style="text-align: left;">And imagine how many characters there are. That's a LOT of VAs.</div><div style="text-align: left;">I mean, you can kinda tell I really like Ajax, but her VA isn't exactly... popular? So wow, it felt weird hearing Ajax talk so much.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Of course, Compile Heart games are mostly full-voiced. What they can't do in technology, they focus elsewhere, I guess you can say.</div><div style="text-align: left;">I think Warspite forgot her voice a bit though.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">So you see, if you are here to enjoy the characters and play a 3D version of Azur Lane, I think this game does do a fairly good job.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Also, I didn't really talk about graphics or music or anything, but if I don't mention these, that means it isn't noticeably bad or good, so there isn't really anything to talk about.</div>serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1324112105071670458.post-86517551636407694582020-10-04T01:40:00.006-07:002020-10-04T01:40:56.558-07:00Finally my new games arrive!<p> I'm not gonna say who, but I ordered and I chose Express, but apparently that counts as Economy too, since everything got shipped through Economy, and I had to wait until today to get my items. Yeah, I will definitely think twice before I order physical products from your store next time.</p><p>Anyways, I bought several games this time. So I'm gonna use a Read More to stuff all of the images inside.</p><span><a name='more'></a></span><p><br /></p><p><b>First is Langrisser Reincarnation.</b></p><p>It is well-known to be a very, very bad game, but I was able to get the bonus edition (with a soundtrack and stuff) for a cheap price (but you can probably get it cheaper directly in Japan), so hey, why not enjoy the badness of the game. Could be fun.</p><p>Also, the soundtrack is good. So imagine, buying a soundtrack that just happens to come with a game.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vao4KAWJ5tg/X3mJGUaVtbI/AAAAAAAAFAo/M9Rxj9oANowLk0EqKrMFRVgODqhKeuNdACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_0654.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vao4KAWJ5tg/X3mJGUaVtbI/AAAAAAAAFAo/M9Rxj9oANowLk0EqKrMFRVgODqhKeuNdACLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h480/IMG_0654.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>You also get two cute figures.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GZm6GiAhMLw/X3mJGA8M2XI/AAAAAAAAFAg/BD9W15OkhyAaBr24Q6dQHjAGXs3ZZaBaQCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_0655.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GZm6GiAhMLw/X3mJGA8M2XI/AAAAAAAAFAg/BD9W15OkhyAaBr24Q6dQHjAGXs3ZZaBaQCLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h480/IMG_0655.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><b>Next is Kinki no Magna.</b> </div><div>Another well-known bad game. Yes, I bought it because it was cheap.</div><div>I was interested in the game before it came out, but then it turned out to be bad and I just kinda forgot about it.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aFQW5iMb8IQ/X3mJGFTdhQI/AAAAAAAAFAk/VBv_s-31GSEsSTW0kO-RBCPTeTqJXiymwCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_0656.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aFQW5iMb8IQ/X3mJGFTdhQI/AAAAAAAAFAk/VBv_s-31GSEsSTW0kO-RBCPTeTqJXiymwCLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h480/IMG_0656.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><b>And then Azur Lane: Crosswave for the Switch.</b><div>Importing from Japan is pretty expensive... So yeah, this is the main reason I imported from Japan, and I just happened to find the above two cheap, so I bought it along with this game. The shipping cost doesn't change, after all, so take the opportunity.</div><div>BTW, this is made by Compile Hearts, so I expect it to be satisfying, but not really an amazing game in any way.<br /><div><br /></div><div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-w8dwLCxsYIc/X3mJHRQerFI/AAAAAAAAFAs/iIiybSW8Fr8c5VdAVjcR3SPNyDvGQnfyACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_0657.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-w8dwLCxsYIc/X3mJHRQerFI/AAAAAAAAFAs/iIiybSW8Fr8c5VdAVjcR3SPNyDvGQnfyACLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h480/IMG_0657.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><b>And finally, the DL version of Monster Hunter XX for the Switch.</b></div><div>It was discounted, and I have always had interest in playing it on the Switch.</div><div>I've already imported my data from the 3DS version.</div><div>But I'm not too sure how much I will really play of it, because I have already technically beaten the 3DS version and then some. But it is good to go ahead and have the game available, in case I want to. And there is a Monster Hunter game coming out next year, so I guess it can be good practice too.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-egPW1xx0ZKU/X3mJHlhXN_I/AAAAAAAAFAw/SE9lDPxZR0MiKTrLFGBGo7HOTmMpp08mwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1920/Monhan.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1920" height="363" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-egPW1xx0ZKU/X3mJHlhXN_I/AAAAAAAAFAw/SE9lDPxZR0MiKTrLFGBGo7HOTmMpp08mwCLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h363/Monhan.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p></div></div>serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1324112105071670458.post-74248701471195271102020-08-28T20:58:00.000-07:002020-08-28T20:58:15.429-07:00AAAAAAAAAHHH! I finally truly completed Xenoblade DE! (100% Acheivements)Holy crap that was torturous.<br />
I mean, defeating 1000s of enemies, pressing a button before battle 100s of times, seeing 12:00AM to 5:00AM for over 300 days...<br />
It was as grindy as it gets.<br />
<br />
And the worst part? You don't know how far you are. There is no counter for, like, how many enemies you have defeated. You just have to keep on defeating them.<br />
Heck, for all you know, you could be doing it wrong and the counter isn't even going up.<br />
<br />
However, since you can modify your own levels now, stuff like dying a whole bunch of times and all are much easier to do.<br />
It was still hell though!<br />
<br />

That's because I was taking my sweet time to do EVERYTHING possible in the game.<br />
I completed all of the quests in the DE-added story and then completed the story. After that, I started the main game and so far, I have beaten the main story, but I have not completed all of the quests, as I am still Level 90 and can't beat the quests involving higher-level enemies.<br />
<br />
Overall, 20 hours for the Future story + 80 for the Main story, totally 100 hours. But of course, I'm still going to continue playing for a while to beat more of the game, such as the Lv100+ Uniques.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-julIabeoon8/XwVlMMs_3iI/AAAAAAAAE_g/3X6H1wP4oeg64Z-4Dr8BWMcKgdoVD3LqQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Complete.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1600" height="360" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-julIabeoon8/XwVlMMs_3iI/AAAAAAAAE_g/3X6H1wP4oeg64Z-4Dr8BWMcKgdoVD3LqQCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/Complete.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
I'm actually gonna make this quick, since we've all played the original game. We all know it is bloody awesome. An improved version is just gonna be even that more awesome. So I don't need to go over all of that awesome-ness.<br />
So instead, I'm just gonna go over a few stuff added in the DE version.<br />
<br />
<b>1. Navigator</b><br />
This navigator really makes a lot of stuff easier. It is a pretty good Navi too.<br />
But... I guess you could say it is "too good".<br />
<br />
For instance, there are quests in this game that literally ask you to search for something, giving you a hint but not the exact enemy or person or location.<br />
But oh no, the navigator will completely spoil the answer. Nothing hides from it.<br />
<br />
<b>2. Improved (character) graphics</b><br />
Awesome. Especially the females in your party, who look much cuter.<br />
On top of that, the new outfits added in the DE addition (for the females) are totally... you know, "Ah, you are a man of culture", like Melia's swimsuit and Fiora being able to go with practically no robot armor on her body.<br />
<br />
<b>3. Future story</b><br />
I think it is a fairly good addition to the game. The Main story pretty much throws her out in the open, with no follow-up to the fact she's practically lost everything even after the final battle.<br />
So this story having her go around and meeting her people and officially becoming the new ruler is pretty nice.<br />
Of course, I'm not sure what the intent of the developers are to leave the mystery of the mist monsters in the open. From the silhouettes, they seem to be a reference to Xenoblade 2. But well this actually mean anything in the future, or is this just fanservice?<br />
<br />
Unfortunately, this technically isn't a Melia route. Shulk does not actually get together with her.<br />
Well, let's be honest, a Melia route is a crazy expectation, so the fact she got a whole bunch of scenes with Shulk for herself is a pretty good compromise, I'd say.serenade_betahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13140307561956694937noreply@blogger.com0
