Yup, Still Alive

You might be like, will what the heck have you been doing? Okay, I've been focusing on Splatoon 3's Salmon Run because gosh that is so much fun. I've also been getting back at playing Eroge because eroges are awesome and are way better than gacha games and you can play whenever you want.

I even used Tenso to get the package version of Geminism!

Also I am trying to beat Shining Resonance (Switch), but the game is pretty bad and it is a pain to play, so I'm getting through really slowly. Yeah, it's bad. There isn't even a map.

Obligatory I'm Alive Post

Since it has been a while

Haven't really bought any new games, so didn't really have anything to say. So far am looking at two games.

One is Megami Tensei V, definitely gonna buy this. However, the JP version costs a whopping 100$ for some reason, so for once, I actually may buy the localized version (and play in JP voice of course). Too bad you can't just change the language for the text too, I think.

The other one is Mario Party Superstars, since you can play online. If you can play with randoms, then I think it can actually be pretty fun to play once in a while, like Mario Kart and such. And this is the normal Mario Party too, not the ones that added weird gimmicks to the gameplay like character-specific dices and riding a car together and all that crap.

Update (January 2021)

Since I haven't made any posts recently, just wanted to give a quick update.

I haven't really bought any new games yet. I've been mostly playing Langrisser Reincarnation, replaying Monster Hunter 4G, and also started Nukitashi (Eroge). I've already beaten the first two and haven't finished Nukitashi, so I haven't really been able to say anything in a post.

I plan to buy Bravely Default 2, Rune Factory 5, and of course Monster Hunter Rise, but nothing interested me in December or January.

You also got Sephiroth in Smash Bros, but I've never cared about Final Fantasy, so whatever, you know. Still waiting for Xenoblade 2's character, but for some reason, although Nintendo is willing to baby Intelligent Systems, who can't even make their own games anymore, they aren't willing to give any favor to the company that literally helps them make all kinds of games like Zelda. *shrug*

Yes, I'm alive

Don't you just wish you could split yourself into multiple copies, so you can do all kinds of things?
...Yeah. BTW, there is an anime called Kemurikusa, and it is very good.

Anyways, I haven't finished Island Days, but I will try to write something about it, since I've pretty much seen enough to review it.

Random I am Alive Update Post

Yeah, I'll be getting a new game... which is obviously that game, but I just wanted to make a post to show I am still alive. I'd like to write about Octopath Traveler, which is obviously an interesting game, but I haven't finished it yet. I'm actually going at a slower pace than I thought, but I've recently got more time in real life, so I hope to at least get some more done before that game is delivered to me.
Yeah, it is the last one on the 3DS, so I want to get the package version.

Oh, and that announcement... Hyahooohh!!! (Yeah, I think it will be for the Switch only)

When I look for games on the Switch E-Shop and see a port or multi-platform

Hmm, let's look for some new games.
Oh, what's this? Maybe interesting?
Hmm...

Farewell, and Thank you, Miiverse!

Yeah, I never used it, really, except for the ability to upload videos, but there is just something lonely about the end of things. And the drawings and game diaries were usually fun to waste a bit of time in the day to look at.

I'll probably make a post later that just displays the screenshots that were uploaded onto Miiverse for Toushin Toshi. Why?
...Not sure. Advertisement for the game? Because I love the artwork? It's good eyecandy, anyways.

School Days... Rather, "Days series" rant

The series is technically called the "Day" series, but I think a lot of people actually don't know that, so I went with School Days in the title. But I felt the need to include the actual title of the series.

Please be warned that I will not be too pleasant in this rant... But do understand that I consider School Days a masterpiece.
Oh, and the soundtrack is bloody awesome for all of the games.

Manga goods purchase (10/25/17)

Meh, I didn't really have a good title.
Anyways, I'll be talking a little about my purchases, which would be Seitokai Yakuindomo, WIXOSS, MM!, Zero no Tsukaima, and Love Lab. Yeah, it will also be partially me advertising them.

Fire Emblem Heroes: Damage Calculator update

Yeah, I'm still alive. Still working on Pokemon Blue and FE: Thracia.
Updated the link to a new version that adds the recently added 30%/50%/80% damage reduction Sacred Seals.
Should be a link to the post that contains the link to the right.

BTW, the voting event crap is stupid. It was a bad idea from the start, and no matter how much they try to "fix" it, it won't work. It's just that bad.

Fire Emblem (????) Warriors: HAH?! ( ゚д゚)凸

Warning: For the strange people that like this game, do not read onward as I rant about something that recently appeared in the new Nintendo Direct

EH?!?!?!?!?!

*hears about Miiverse discontinuation*
Well... I didn't use it, but it was fun reading other peoples' posts. But... sure, I guess...

*hears that you will no longer be able to use the Miiverse features in many games, including posting Smash Bros videos to Youtube*

Happy New Years (2017)!

Happy New Years! Hanayo-san gave me my omikuji for the year!

I was able to go through my stock of to-do games a bit...
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Build Augments and fight superbosses
Pokemon Moon: Finish Pokedex, Collect Shiny Charm, Start Competitive Breeding
Elminage Gothic 3D: Last floor of post-game dungeon
Fire Emblem: Thracia 776: Not Started

As for this year, looking forward to Alliance Alive (Furyu) and Monster Hunter XX (Capcom)!

New Game! ( ̄ー ̄)

I had to choose between Seventh Dragon (which came out yesterday) and Stella Glow, but I decided to choose Stella Glow. Seventh Dragon looked low-budget, so I have worries about it, but Stella Glow has gotten pretty good reviews everywhere. Also, the art is pretty. (Which is why I also bought the wallpaper for the 3DS as shown below.

The only unfortunate note is that the illustrator for this game announced his retirement(?) from working as an illustrator, though he continues as an individual artist, it seems.
EDIT: Or perhaps he came out of retirement, according to his profile. (?)

On a brighter note, Atlus will be bringing Stella Glow to the US (really always loved their willingness to bring these type of little-known, non-mainstream games). Visit the home page:
http://www.atlus.com/stellaglow/
Man, that premium edition looks awesome. Especially that Hilda cloth poster.
I can't tell, but is the audio Japanese or dubbed?

Tribute to Iwata-san

I can't fly all the way to New York to visit his temporary memorial there, so I'll do it here...

As an avid video gamer, I always imagined what the video game industry would be like many years from now. I wondered what the video game industry would be like after Iwata retired. But in that imagination of mine, I was already past the climax of my life and kinda just an older man, living through the rest of my life. Yet I am still young. Yet now the video game industry has lost one of its most brilliant leaders. A man who was not only close to video game fans, but was a programmer himself. Could run a business. Could present better than any of his comparisons. It has been many years since I really tried drawing and I've never written Japanese, but in memory...

Thank you very much, Iwata-san! For all the joy you brought us!
We'll miss you and if afterlife exists, please watch over Nintendo and the rest of the video game industry!

RIP, Iwata Satoru

As many probably already know of this incredibly sudden and shocking news,
http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2015/150713e.pdf

Words do not describe my sadness. He did so much, to die this young... And... man. Just... no.

New Game! (゜∀゜)

Of course Etrian Odyssey and the Mysterious Dungeon!
That said, it is more of a Mystery Dungeon game than an Etrian Odyssey game, so I wouldn't recommend it if those type of games are not to your liking.

Game Sales: About Posts...

I feel that these type of posts are kinda... meh? Kind of gets in the way of my posts on actual games, yet provides little advantage. I guess I can make some comparisons, but there really isn't any use, so when I get the free time, I'm gonna move all of my past posts on Sales backwards, so that my game posts are all together. Also, I'll probably not make Sales posts, unless something really interests me. In that case, I'll point it out on the title... or something like that.

Game Sales of the Week (12/24/14)

I am/was visiting New York and tired and all of that, so not much to say about this week.
Nintendo's Store

Thankfully(?), not really an eventful week anyways.
http://www.4gamer.net/games/117/G011794/20141224109/

PS: As far as New York goes, not really used to the atmosphere there. McDonalds had a guard that stopped people who didn't have a receipt from getting a seat or go to the bathroom, too much people, too costly, all of that good stuff. Well, it doesn't hurt to visit once in a lifetime, I guess?
