Game Sales of the Week (6/25/14)

Another rather low profile week for game sales in Japan.
http://www.4gamer.net/games/117/G011794/20140625092/
Three new games on the list.
Pokemon Art Academy tops with 30,000+, but these types of games are really hard to compare. Just how much of the consumers are buying it for the Pokemon aspect? The art aspect? How much of Pokemon influenced the sales? The fact this game came out and there are already other art-teaching games? You see?
As for the other two, an otaku game and some... platformer? Hotaru's Diary. I actually like the art style for that.

Kinki no Magna - Some Pics (Magazine Scans)

First is first, the official website:
http://www.maql.co.jp/special/game/3ds/kinki/

It is pretty easy to navigate (since the English). You can also ask questions to the staff here:

In the characters' section, clicking the arrow on the bottom-right switches between the characters' maid outfit and normal outfit.

Pics and all below:

Game Sales of the Week (6/18/14)

Been a little busy and tired in real life, so I didn't make a post on the same day, but it wasn't really an exciting week.
Other than the expected Mario Kart, Persona, and Youkai Watch at the top, the new games are all Multis. One is a Western game (no interest), and the other is One Piece (I did like the 1vs 1 fighter games, though I'm not sure what this one is. Adventure?)

So I won't write much this week. The link as usual though:

I'll make a separate post on Kinki no Magna though.

Game Sales of the Week (6/4/14)

Mario Kart 8 finally comes out around the world! Of the few Mario games I play, Kart is one of them and damn is it fun. And its so luck-based while also requiring skill that each race is fun, even if you get bombarded by a blue shell near the finish line. And then you immediately go on to the next game. Great stuff.
