Splatoon Raiders, Completed Up to Hidden Boss!

Man this is a fun game. It's supposed to be a smaller game than most Switch 2 games, based off the lower pricing, but it was worth the price and more, I feel

Of course, this is coming from a person that mainly plays Salmon Run in Splatoon 3 instead of the PvP

New Game! Splatoon Raiders!

I originally thought about buying the DL version, but I saw that it would take 20GB, which is pretty big. So I decided to order the physical version instead. Ordered from Walmart, BTW. Not that bad of a deal, and fairly on-time. I will think about using their service for physical copies in the future

For Splatoon, I'm more of a Salmon Run fan than a PvP fan, as shown through my badges in Splatoon 3, so totally looking forward to going through Raiders on its highest difficulty

New Game! Pokemon Pokopia!

I actually do not play sandbox games, so this is more or less a first for me for the genre

But I hear good things about it, so definitely looking forward to it. Also, one of my favorite Pokemon is Alakazam and according to Serebii, he shows up

And yes, looking forward to Pokemon Champions too

New Game! Kibry Air Riders

This is actually my first physical copy Switch 2 game, since I bought Pokemon through the Catalog Ticket and Mario Kart through the bundle. The game supports Japanese if you use a Japanese account anyways, even if the package is English

Anyways, I've actually never played the original GC game, so totally looking forward to it, even though for racing, I'd choose Mario Kart. The City Trials mode is definitely more unique and fun though, probably would focus on that for online

New Game! Pokemon Legends: ZA!

Dang, over half a year since my last article. But it kinda really is just that. There haven't really been any games I wanted to buy. Nintendo was saving their power for the Switch 2, so Nintendo wasn't releasing much either. Spending my time getting back into eroge, kinda continuing playing a few gacha games, though not spending as much money or time.
Since I'm not buying Fire Emblem anymore, Langrisser Mobile and Sword of Convallaria have done good to scratch my SRPG itch.

But here I am, with a Switch 2 and Mario Kart World. Forgot to make an article about that. And now my 2nd Switch 2 game, Pokemon Legends ZA. Of course, as a Pokemon fan. I actually used a catalog ticket to buy the Switch version, then payed for the upgrade.

The unique gameplay surprisingly works, and with the new format of move speed and evasion, it really shakes up what moves are strong or weak.

And as you can see, loving the customization. Sucks that there still are no real skirts, but hey, I can do hotpants too. I have a foot fetish, so obviously going to give my protagonist leggings. I was looking for straight, long black hair, but they only had long curly hair, so I chose ponytail instead for now. Kawaii

Shining Resonance: Refrain Finished!

Yeah, I know, I know. Dang, I was gone for a long time.

There just haven't been many interesting games to play, as Nintendo is saving up for the Switch 2 launch. And if Nintendo doesn't do anything, CS games are like dead fish on land. But I blame third parties for wasting years on gacha games and AAA games, also known as the genius "Spend more time to make them, but sell less" strategy

So anyways, finally beat the game. I realized that I totally would not have the time to play this once Xenoblade X comes out, so I finally got myself to play the game.

Yup, Still Alive

You might be like, will what the heck have you been doing? Okay, I've been focusing on Splatoon 3's Salmon Run because gosh that is so much fun. I've also been getting back at playing Eroge because eroges are awesome and are way better than gacha games and you can play whenever you want.

I even used Tenso to get the package version of Geminism!

Also I am trying to beat Shining Resonance (Switch), but the game is pretty bad and it is a pain to play, so I'm getting through really slowly. Yeah, it's bad. There isn't even a map.

Pokemon Crystal: Complete!

Phew, there goes one of the games I bought doing the ending of the 3DS EShop (though Pokemon Crystal wasn't discounted)

It definitely was refreshing to play an older game, but you can really feel the lack of flexibility in the movesets and all. No TM and Move-tutor-only Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt and evolution stones are not generally available until after you beat the Elite Four, so my Magneton was stuck using Thundershock for so long.

Anyways, continued after the Read More

Still Alive and Recently Playing

Dang, it's already been half a year since my last post? I swear, once you reach a certain age, time just flies by...

A few more images than usual, so gonna add a jump break and put this on a separate page.

Pokemon Violet: Completed and Thoughts!

Of course, this is Pokemon, so there isn't really an "end", with all the Pokemon catching and raising and all. But I've completed the story and caught the legendaries and I've seen the substories as well, so I just wanted to give my thoughts on the game.

Honestly not too sure what type of screenshot to use, since I missed the opportunity to take a picture of the ending credits, so I'm gonna leave it imageless this time.

Currently in Middle of Playing Pokemon Violet!

It's been 3 months since my last post, so I just wanted to note I am currently playing the new Pokemon. Haven't finished the story yet, since I also enjoy watching other people play and stuff, but I think I have my final party ready. Golduck just because he is the only Shiny I have found so far.

Also, man, I got the pantyhose but really wish there were cuter options for the rest. It's obvious from the other characters in the game that not wearing the default school uniform is allowed.

Xenoblade 3: Finished and Thoughts

Phew, it took 90 hours (obviously did a lot of exploring and side quests, though not all of them), but I finally finished the story for Xenoblade 3. So yeah, a got a lot to say about what I thought about the game.

Before I get started, I just want to warn that I am gonna be fairly negative. But wait, wait. Don't do the whole "Ohhh, you're a hater, so nothing you say counts" crap. You know how much I looked forward to Xenoblade 3, and unlike most of you, I have even played Xenoblade X.

And of course, plenty of spoilers. Not gonna shy on that.

Pokemon Green (JP) Complete!

I don't think I really need to say anything about such an old game, but it was fun to play in all of its broken balance glory. For instance, healing a burned Pokemon does not reverse the Atk reduction.

And one glitch I encountered way too often was the "Accuracy 100% move occasionally misses"

But overall, a refreshing, fun game. Also the first time in my life I caught Tauros or Kangaskhan in the Safari Zone, so cool there too. Really wanted to do the whole Tauros Hyper Beam spamming that was famous in Gen 1.

Gameplay time from Start to Beating Elite Four was 17+ hours. Didn't level grind, though the game is pretty easy with even the hardest enemies having bad move sets and stuff. I was 15+ levels lower than the opponent by the time I got to the final Rival battle.

Also, the Item Box is waaaay too small in this Gen. If you don't use the TMs, both the box and your pouch will be full by end game.

Monster Hunter Sunbreak: Complete and Thoughts!

Made it in time for Xenoblade 3.
Complete as in, all quests complete, including Afflicted and Solos

Catching Up on Games I Bought Since Last Post

Been busy with real life, but finally found some time to post the games I have recently played or bought.

Currently, planning to buy Xenoblade 3, of course, but nothing else so far after it

1. Shining Resonance - Mostly because it was being sold at a discounted $14. I don't really expect it to be a great game or anything, but at least Tony Taka's designs are great

2. Master Duel - Of course, for free. Definitely would not pay money to play Yugioh anymore. Way too much power-creep and the solitaring is stupid. Currently using Waifu decks, Traptrix and Sky Strikers, BTW

3. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak - Just started, of course

4. Pokemon Green - This is the JP Green, BTW. The English one is actually the JP Blue, so this JP Green is something you can't play localized. Which is why I chose this version. Up until now, the earliest game I've played is Pokemon Yellow, so I wanted to try my hands on the oldest and most buggy, unbalanced version

Triangle Strategy: Thoughts after First Playthrough

So yeah, bought and have just finished my first playthrough, of course on hard mode

Apparently there is a "True Route" and I haven't seen it, but I think I know where it is going, so I am going to go ahead and write my thoughts about the game. Definitely going to play myself and do the True Route, but I'm going to take my time, so didn't want to put this off for so long.

And spoilers alert for people who have not played it.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus - Complete + Thoughts!

I didn't make a post on when I got the game, but yeah, bought and went and completed it. Caught all of the Pokemon and then also caught Arceus. Getting all 10 stars is a bit too much of a grind though, so I won't do that.

Oh, and I'm just gonna say it here, but...

XENOBLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADE!

Megami Tensei V: Done + Thoughts!

Finished the Chaos and the true route!

Technically, I did not do the Law route, but I can tell what will happen if I do, so I think I am good now. Pokemon Arceus coming up too!

And Another New Game! \(o ̄▽ ̄o)/

And of course, this one!

I wanted to buy the JP version, but for some reason, the JP version costs 100$ while the localized version costs 60$. I really would prefer reading the JP text over the English one, but when there is a whopping 40$ difference... I can't ignore that. And there is at least Japanese audio.

I mean, if there was no JP idea, I definitely would have been forced to buy the JP version, so thank gosh. I still have to deal with the localized names and skills and stuff though, but sure, I'll take that and keep my 40$. Also, the steelbook thing is kinda cool.

New Game! ╭( ・ㅂ・)و̑

A bit late to make this post, but got Mario Party Superstars a couple days after it was released!

Mario Party isn't exactly one of those games that I care about the language, so I just bought it from the nearest store. Although it automatically changes its in-game language if you use a JP account, so pretty much the same anyways.

I haven't actually bought Mario Party since like, 6 or 7, since they kept on adding weird gimmicks like character specific dices and riding in a car together, but this one does not do any of that, and FINALLY, it has online random matches. No more do you need to find friends or family that want to play video games with you!

From my experience so far, as long as all players can play to the end without anyone's connection dropping (because fighting against stupid AI is boring) and everyone uses stamps in good manner, it is really fun. 15 turns is surprisingly long, around an hour or a bit more average, but still great as long as everyone is having fun.

Also, it's Mario Party, so I'm not gonna bother writing a review. Good ol' Mario Party. What I said at the top is pretty much what I want to say.

Hopefully they will have a few free updates that add new maps?
