WIXOSS: Booster Pack Opening - WXD-05 Rhetoric

2 boxes as usual!
On a more random note, the tokens that came with the boxes felt weaker than usual, because I accidentally damaged a few trying to get them out. Or perhaps I used too much strength? Hmm... Anyways, just a random thought.

Azur Lane First Anniversary Art Collection book arrives!

As you can see from the image, I also got the new box of WIXOSS, but I have been a little busy lately, so I have not opened it yet. I will soon though, so an article will be made then.
Also, I've been using the holidays to catch up on my reading of Love Lab. Yes, I bought the actual books a while back.
And yes, I have been busy with Smash Bros, but I think we all have.

In the meantime, I wanted to just introduce some of the content of the Azur Lane book. Obviously, the quality of the photos are not great, so buy it and read it in person if you want to see the content in high quality.
Oh, and I guess this article is NSFW? I mean, this is Azur Lane.

And in conclusion, I think it is a good fan collection item, so do buy it if you can.

NuooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhHH!

Well, no-brainer here...
It is so obvious, there is just nothing to really say.

My mains are Mr. Game and Watch and Ganondorf, BTW.

Oh, and *cringe* at the fact Joker takes a DLC slot.
I've only seen the rather boring anime, but he and his pals wear cringy outfits and have these cringey-looking demons that don't look anything close to the demons of the main game and use their special powers to brainwash people they consider bad. 'Kay.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna Main Story Finished!

I still have to beat the extra Unique/Named monsters, but at least I cleared the main story before Smash Bros. To be honest, I was slightly hesitant to do so, because you know... *sigh*

Anyways, thoughts and obviously spoilers below...

Saturday, November 17, 2018

Etrian Odyssey X: Complete + Final Thoughts

And that is that! Finally completed the dictionary, meaning clearing the game.
Of course, there are other stuff that can be done such as trying all of the classes I didn't use, but you get the idea. And I need to try and at least finish Xenoblade Torna before Smash Bros.
Final thoughts below, though I guess there are a few story spoilers?

Etrian Odyssey X: Diary 15

And finally, the final boss of the game.

Oh, final impressions will come after I fully complete the game by getting all treasure chests, materials, etc. etc. and complete my Guild Card. So I need to do that first.

Etrian Odyssey X: Diary 14

Phew............. Uueh......................
Finally.

This time:

  • Last mini-dungeon (Forest of Illusions)
  • Final dungeon, not including the bosses

I think it gets a bit too long, due to 5 FOE in the final dungeon, so I'm putting the remaining boss fights in another article.

Saturday, November 10, 2018

Etrian Odyssey X: Diary 13

Fortunately or unfortunately, I am still not done yet. Due to the content of post-game, I am splitting it up into two parts. For this part,

  • The three dragons
  • The final map FOE... boss?
  • Mini-dungeon: Frozen Lake (rough translation)
The final dungeon and the final mini-dungeon will be in the 2nd part... when I beat it... after I do a lot of leveling up.

Monday, October 29, 2018

Etrian Odyssey X: Diary 12

FINALLY! The final dungeon... of the main story. I'm going to save my final impressions until I actually beat the post-game dungeons though.

This time will be:

  • Finish up of Mini-Dungeon (The Endless Forest)
  • 13th Dungeon

Saturday, October 27, 2018

WIXOSS: Booster Pack Opening - WXD-04 Wiles

It's that time of the year... month... period?
As always, 2 boxes.
Also, as you can sort of see, the box design is different this time. It is flatter and the booster packs are placed different (which you can't see in this image).

Sunday, October 21, 2018

Etrian Odyssey X: Diary 11

This time I am covering...
  • 12th Dungeon
  • Mini-Dungeon (The Endless Forest)
  • The boss of the previous Mini-Dungeon

Thursday, October 11, 2018

Etrian Odyssey X: Diary 10

This time I'm covering:

  • 11th Dungeon
  • Mini-Dungeon (New Ant Colony) <- This is a very lazy translation
  • The boss of the previous Mini-Dungeon

We all love this place's music, surely.
And this is also one of those dungeons that are so memorable, we all know what is coming up before even going through the dungeon.

Wednesday, October 3, 2018

Etrian Odyssey X: Diary 9

Pace still a little slower than before, but I think I kinda improved.

This time is the 10th dungeon.

Sunday, September 23, 2018

Etrian Odyssey X: Diary 8

Yeah, it took me two weeks to get through the next dungeon.
There is a game I am playing whose service ends in a few days (that is where I got the names of my characters in my main party in EOX), thus I wouldn't be able to play it anymore, so I've been spending a lot of my time doing what I want and getting some videos.
I also tried sucking out the audio from that game, but I couldn't really do it. Found some instructions, but all of them were too old and any attempts at accessing the audio failed. So yeah, sucks there. But I did get around 200 videos from the game since starting it and all and I did get the soundtrack, so I'm pretty satisfied.
BTW, the music in that game is godly. Here is my Top 10, BTW
https://youtu.be/_f_7kfsESMk

ANYWAYS, back on topic.
This time will be on the
-9th dungeon
-Mini-dungeon (Buried Ruins)

Saturday, September 8, 2018

Etrian Odyssey X: Diary 7

This time:
8th Dungeon

Man, gotta say, this is probably the most obvious dungeon so far. I could tell immediately which game this dungeon came from.
It's the one where those two get... umm... Yeah...

Sunday, September 2, 2018

Etrian Odyssey X: Diary 6

This time...
-7th Dungeon
-Leftovers of the previous mini-dungeon
-Mini-dungeon (Heavenly Cherry Blossom... or something like that)

Total Monster Hunter Playing Time!

In celebration(?) of the localized release of Monster Hunter XX, also now known as Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, I wanted to look back a little bit at how much I played that game.
Because it is a fun game, I'm actually kinda musing whether to buy the localized version and just play it all over again, Solo.
But I'm kinda busy with other games, so I probably should not...

Oh, and I stopped playing the game when Monster Hunter World came out, because I usually played multiplayer with a group of people on a Japanese board, but I felt that they would become too busy with that game to come over. They were good people. One of them was particularly good and influenced me into getting into the Brave Longsword.
And no, I do not play World. I usually ignore any game that isn't on a Nintendo console.

Etrian Odyssey X: Diary 5

6th Dungeon
No new mini-dungeon this time
And due to my trauma of the Chameleon from Etrian Odyssey 4, I haven't actually tried that mini-dungeon boss either.
...I did defeat the Chameleon FOE, but I did the battle while half-asleep... and actually dozed off a little, so I don't remember what I was thinking at that time. So I'm not going to really talk about that FOE. (´・ω・`)

Tuesday, August 21, 2018

Etrian Odyssey X: Diary 4

This time will be on
-5th Dungeon
-Mini-Dungeon (Untraversed Swamp) <- Yes, this is just a quick rough translation

Friday, August 17, 2018

Etrian Odyssey X: Diary 3

Oh boy, this is gonna be long...
So this time is:
Dungeon 4
Mini-Dungeon (God's Hill... is how I shall translate it)
The bosses of the previous mini-dungeon
A world map FOE

Saturday, August 11, 2018

Etrian Odyssey X: Diary 2

While I say Diary 2, I am actually talking about the third dungeon (as numbered in the game). This is because I am ignoring the tutorial dungeon...

So this article is on the "Giant's Ruin" mini-dungeon and the 3rd dungeon. I ignored the first mini-dungeon because there just wasn't really anything to talk about. It was literally just the same dungeon as the one from one of the previous games, where you can fight the deer FOEs. This one has more to talk about.

Etrian Odyssey X: Diary 1

Just putting down my thoughts on what I did in the game, after each major dungeon.
In Etrian Odyssey X, you have a world map, with all kinds of masses. For instance, ones that you go to for events... but are not actual dungeons, ones that are small one-floor dungeons, and then the major dungeons with the actual bosses.

So I thought that each major dungeon was a good checkpoint to put down my thoughts.
Also keep in mind that I am playing Heroic Difficulty. So if you are playing on lower, you can do what I did with lower levels.
Also, I'm playing blindly, without looking at walkthroughs.

Saturday, August 4, 2018

Hieeeeeeeeee!! New Game!

...I think I was able to express my excitement pretty well.
Yep, the new Etrian Odyssey game! There was also another announcement about a new game in the works... But that is in the future and there are so many maybes, so there is no point in wasting too much energy thinking about that now.
NOW, we focus on this new game.

And yes, of course, I chose Heroic mode. Isn't that what everyone starts out with? (´・ω・`)

Oh, and I am personally happy about getting to use this Gunner. Yup, I own the original manga.
For people that don't know, one of the bonus artworks you can use in the game, as shown in the bottom-most image, is drawn by the person (FLIPFLOPS) that did the Etrian Odyssey 2 manga.
So of course, I would use it and also name it after the protagonist.

Random I am Alive Update Post

Yeah, I'll be getting a new game... which is obviously that game, but I just wanted to make a post to show I am still alive. I'd like to write about Octopath Traveler, which is obviously an interesting game, but I haven't finished it yet. I'm actually going at a slower pace than I thought, but I've recently got more time in real life, so I hope to at least get some more done before that game is delivered to me.
Yeah, it is the last one on the 3DS, so I want to get the package version.

Oh, and that announcement... Hyahooohh!!! (Yeah, I think it will be for the Switch only)

Saturday, July 14, 2018

New Game! (´・ω・`)

Yeah, no surprise on what it is.
I mean, I did like Bravely Default (Second was a bit iffy) and it is a Switch-only game. Of course I would get it.
I got the DL version because
1. The size of the game is relatively small
2. I wanted to play the game in Japanese text, which the localized versions did not include. What is sad is that the Japanese one actually has more available languages than the localized version. What's up with that? Can't include just all languages for both versions?
If the localized version also had Japanese, I would have gotten that...

Oh, and I started with the merchant girl. Of course.

Nurse Love Addiction - Kaede Route Thoughts

And finally, Kaede's route.
Phew, that was long... But now the final stretch.

Nurse Love Addiction - Sakuya Route Thoughts

Continuing from the previous post, this one is on Sakuya's Route, Good and Bad.

Nurse Love Addiction - Full Game Complete + Itsuki Route Thoughts + Final Impressions

Yeah, trying to balance out life and hobbies is hard, but I'm still alive.
So I finally got to sitting down and completing the remaining routes, all routes Good and Bad + the "Default" route that happens if you don't get into anyone's route.

And I wanted to just talk about my thoughts on the other three characters' routes. The default route isn't something worth talking about, because it really is just that. But since I also have images, I'm going to split them into three posts.
Oh, and spoilers alert (duh).

This one is other thoughts I had after completing the game + thoughts on Itsuki Route.

WIXOSS: Booster Pack Opening - WXD-02 Full Scratch

...Yeah, if they do another anime, I think they should start from scratch. Get it? Scratch! Just like this pack's name! Hahahah *gets shot*

Anyways, same old same old 2 boxes. The fact that every booster pack comes with a shiny now makes it much more fun to open up, instead of just buying single cards.

Saturday, June 16, 2018

Nurse Love Addiction - Nao Route Complete + Thoughts

For obvious reasons, there will be spoilers. But hey, this is technically an old game.
And there as all visual novels are generally the same, there isn't anything to really say about the non-story related stuff like UI, unless something really stands out.
But anyways, finished Nao's route, both Good and Bad Ends, so I wanted to put down some thoughts.

Oh, but I will leave two CGs at the very beginning of the Read More before saying anything, if you want motivation to play the game but not be spoiled by its story but is willing to get an idea of what happens in the game.
Oh, and I think you can get the translated version on Steam.

Fire Emblem Heroes: Damage Calculator update

For some reason, up until now, I did not realize I had an error in my calculator involving the flat damage added. I only found out recently when I was testing for the new characters (who did +7 damage).
Before, I was adding this damage before Specials. So when calculating damage using Specials that multiply the damage, such as Damage x 150%, it would give a wrong results.
This update fixes it.
The link is still the same, it seems, and the link to it is somewhere on the right area of the page where I have a bunch of post links.

(゚Д゚) New Game!

Nurse Love Addiction... is what I believe is the localized title.

It actually has been quite a while... like, a really long time since I played a story-based visual novel. Like... since _summer? Hmm...
I'm not particularly into yuri, but it was on sale for 50% off (around $20) and I had some level of interest in it, so I took the chance to buy it.

Yes, ports and hand-me-downs are not my top priority, but I do take the chance to get interesting ones when they are on discounted sale.

Still playing Hyrule Warriors
Still, technically, playing Densetsu no Ogre Battle

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition - Legend Mode Complete + Final Thoughts

As far as my impressions go, before I actually start, I will set aside the facts
-This game is the third(?) version the same thing
-That I consider the company that made this leeches who can only reuse the same Musou engine on different company IPs
-That I'm probably playing a lot of stuff that was sold extra as probably not-so-cheap priced DLC on the original version

Also, yes, there are still a lot of stuff to do to 100% the game, but I think I've played enough to be able to write my impressions.

Xenoblade 2 Soundtrack Delivered!

Uoooohhhhhh!!! It's finally released! A whopping 6 CDs worth of the game's awesome music.
And dang, some cars only allow one CD at a time. Cars that can hold 6 CDs are gold with this thing, imagine driving long hours and going through the entire soundtrack without having to remove and replace the inserted CD.

And yes, shamefully, I was not able to buy the USB version. The CD version is honestly more usable for me, but you know, as a fan and all...
But at least I was able to get the deluxe CD version.

Images and a few thoughts below...

(´・ω・`) New Game!

It's been almost a month since my last post?
...Time flies and now I feel old...
As of now, I am trying to unlock all of the Gold Machine Parts in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and slowly playing Densetsu no Ogre Battle, even though I don't really like it that much.

Anyways, this time I got

Yeah, kinda a boring choice.
I myself have played/completed:
Links Awakening (GBA)
Oracle of Times/Season (GBA AND 3DS Virtual Console)

So I'm not that big of a Zelda fan. And I'm definitely not a fan of Warrior games, and I find this company funny because all they can pretty much do is leec... I mean, collaborate with other companies and make Warrior games from them.
But you know, I haven't played any of the Hyrule Warrior games before and this comes with all of the DLC stuff from the previous versions (yeah, there are already three versions of this game), and like with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, I felt it was a good time to at least try it.
...And yes, the female Link character is cute. No, just stay in this game.

WIXOSS: Booster Pack Opening - WXD-01 Klaxon

The usual, the usual
The biggest pain about the new pack is that I organize my card folders based on Color and then Class.
So when they introduce new combinations, I have to find new space for the combination.
And I don't have enough space in my shelf for more binders... Hmm... And I don't really know if I have room for a new shelf either. Hmm.......

(Nintendo Switch) Hototogisu Tairan - First Impressions

Yeah, I kinda skipped a new game post to go right into the first impressions, but that is because this isn't one of those games that you can "complete", since the main content are single battles against CPU and Players, with only a tutorial for a scenario.

...Yeah, I think I play too many card games these days...

Let me just put down some information before going into it

Brave Dungeon + Dark Witch Story:COMBAT: Complete!

Technically, I didn't collect 100% for the Gacha Mini-game, but oh-well. Still 100% the two games.
Currently curious about this, coming out next week. What's important is how playable it is without having to use real money to buy cards.
http://hototogisu-tairan.com/

Anyways, always feels good to complete a game before moving on to another.
(It's always hard to tell when it looks better to just tuck everything other a Read More or just show the entire thing straight out)

Saturday, April 14, 2018

(´・ω・`) New Game!

I guess I will be buying the localized version of Hyrule Warriors when it comes out.
Localized version because I doubt there is really anything in the game that requires the original Japanese version (due to probably not being so line-centric), so I'll wait to get it instead of the JP version now.

As of now, I decided to get this!
Yeah, totally boring decision, but it is one of those games that can't go wrong, after all. Just something to play outside of video or anything.
I definitely failed miserably on my first try at 200cc. Dang, you really do need to use the breaks...

Tuesday, April 10, 2018

Brave Dungeon + Dark Witch Story:COMBAT: Final Impressions

So as far as progress of the game goes, I have beaten the main game in Brave Dungeon and played some of Dark Witch Story Combat. While I have not finished Combat, I think I've played enough to give good enough thoughts on the game.
I'm not sure where else to put it, so I'm just going to mention here that this is an Indies.

To put it shortly, I think it is worth the buy in the sense that you get two simple games for about a slightly expensive fast food meal price. If you really want story or want to know the characters more, you will have to buy the main games in the series.
Search Dark Witch Story.

Oh, and the screenshot here is Japanese, but it comes in English as well.
You can check my uploaded videos if you want to see sample gameplay, BTW. No screenshots outside of this article's cover image.

Monday, April 2, 2018

(゚Д゚) New Game!

Finally?
Brave Dungeon, for the Switch. It is an expansion from the 3DS version, which itself is a spinoff of the main series (Majin Shoujo). It also comes with another new game created by the same company, BTW. There is no choice though, so you have to buy both together.
I had interest in the game since seeing it discounted on the 3DS, but I didn't buy it because I learned the Switch had an updated version.
Also, both Japanese and English are supported and can be changed on the fly in-game.

It is one of those dungeon-crawling games, though the battle is symbol-encounter-type.
Also, it is an Indies/Nindies. It's these smaller companies that seem to have the flexibility to ride the hype train, may you say, quicker. Less than $10, BTW. I actually don't know why I bought it from the JP eShop...

So I'll be focusing on this and Densetsu no Ogre Battle (VC) for now.

Sunday, April 1, 2018

Seisou no Amazoness: Complete!

There are a few images and it gets kinda big, so I hid it under a Read More line.
Full 100% on everything.
Oh, and I had tried to make a video on the game, but
1. The quality sucks (I don't have a modded 3DS, BTW)
2. It physically is tiring to record using my phone
3. The size gets so big, I can't even get it out of my phone for some reason
So I gave up on that plan.

So with that finished, that leaves me with two games I have bought and not played:
Corpse Party
Denssetsu no Ogre Battle (Virtual Console)

I'm also looking at Hyrule Warriors, but the size of the DL verison is huge and the English version is coming out next month. This isn't one of those games that would kill me through translated text and voices, so I want to wait for that.
Ao no Kanata kinda interests me, but it is a port of the PS4 version, after all. Nothing new, right?

...And then you get a whole bunch of games that are multi-platform with the PS4... or Steam... or for some god-damn reason, the Vita. (sigh)
I'll think about them later or when they get a 50% discount or something...

Anyways, to the point on topic...

Tuesday, March 20, 2018

When I look for games on the Switch E-Shop and see a port or multi-platform

Hmm, let's look for some new games.
Oh, what's this? Maybe interesting?
Hmm...
*checks internet*

Seisou no Amazoness: Main Story Cleared + Thoughts

Phew, finally finished it.
Though I still have to max out the moves, maybe make a video showcasing the moves (though I can only record directly from my phone...), and finish the remaining dungeons and 100% some stuff.

Anyways, the IP is owned by Arc System Works (who seems to have nothing big except Ble-Blue or whatever that fighting game is) and developed by Intense.
It is sometimes translated as Stardust Amazoness, though Seisou can have a deeper meaning than that, sometimes referring to Time. Anyways, it'd take a long time to explain, so I'm just going by the Japanese name.

Oh, and I do avoid major spoilers. Play the game yourself if you want to know.

Friday, February 23, 2018

WIXOSS: Booster Pack Opening - WX-22 Unlocked Selector.

By the way, from the next release, a new series will start. In other words, it won't be WX-23 but instead starts back at 01, with a different abbreviation at the front.
Hmm... Anyways, as a collector, the only thing to do is to look forward to it, though I'm sure it won't be as bad as Yugioh and that link thingy a while back.

Also, starting from this booster pack, a few rule changes have been made to make the game process clearer... and also nerf some infinite loops?
Sadly, Umr also takes a fall from this change.

Anyways, 2 boxes as usual.

War of Brains - Big Brother, The Ultimate Emperor

I've actually started playing Stardust Amazoness for the 3DS, as I wait for Xenoblade 2's update.

But aside from that, I just wanted to say how much I like this card.
This comes from the Digital TCG by Takara Tomy, War of Brains. While I would suggest this game to others, this is a Japanese-only app and thus you have to go to fairly great lengths to spend money in-game. In other words, you're likely not going to be able to actually buy new cards and will have to stock up the little currency you get for logging in each day and then buying them.
Also, the game freezes up a lot.

Oh, and I suck at the game, mainly because I don't have the resources (though this can sound like an excuse), so I usually don't win or even play matches.

But putting that aside, I wanted to show how cool I found this newly added card.

Xenoblade 2: Thoughts on Rare Blades

My thoughts on all of them, not including the Main Story ones, now that I have gone through all of their Blade Quests + Kizuna Talks.
And I've actually gone through all of the Unique Monsters too, so I can finally go and make that "All of my Game Over" videos I wanted to make. I still have to do the grinding type stuff for various Rare Blades and I definitely have not done all the missions, so I'm not at 100% yet, of course.

BTW, the thoughts are fairly short, but they are what I first think of when I think of each one.
In general, the common theme of memory is persistent... and good, as that is also a main theme of the main story.

...Nia is best girl.

Wednesday, January 17, 2018

Xenoblade 2: Main Story - Complete! + Thoughts

I had thought about completing the story once I got all of the Rare Blades, but after realizing I'm gonna have to grind until my entire body grinds into pieces, I gave up and went ahead and beat the main story.
One reason for this is that I didn't want to over-level for the main story, so I couldn't just level up and fight the higher Unique monsters that gave high-level Core Crystals. But now that I've beaten the game, I can just go ahead and sleep and level-up.

I do have spoilers, including end-game ones, but to be honest, it's been almost 2 months and it was a worldwide release. I'm not even sure I should care about it.

PS: I'm not going to search each of the characters' localized names one by one while writing this, so I'm going to use the Japanese/Romanized names.
PSS: I'll make a separate post on Rare Blades once I collect all of them...

Thursday, January 11, 2018

"Yeah I'm still alive" Post

I'm just too busy playing Xenoblade 2. I'm not just going straight through the story, occasionally stopping to do some quests or learn about the Rare Blades through their quest and all, so yeah, I'm on Chapter 9 and have used over 150 hours.

Do I need to explicitly say how great this game is?
